The adjourned annual session of the County Board was held in the office of the

®unty clerk Tuesday, January 16th, 1906.
Meeting called to' order at 1:3o A. M. by A. Peearce Tomkins, Chairman.
The following credentials were presented and were upon motion accepted:

Resolved by the county board of Bayfield county, this 16th day of January
1906, in adjourned annual session assembled, that the Salary of the Register of
Deeds of said Bayfield county, be, and the same is hereby changed, fixed and
and determined as follows;
Resolved, that the splary of the said Register of deeds of Bayfield.

is hereby fixed at the sum of One thousand Four hundred dollars per annum, the
above compensation to include all deputy, clerk and copyist hire, and all fees due;
the register of deeds from county, be it''further
Resolved, as heretofore provided, thatthesaid Register of Deeds
be required to keep correct and accurate records'of all fees received by him for
recording' instruments ,.and all other fees, said fees to be -turned over to the Cour$
Treasurer the first day of each month and the report of the said of2icer to be
rrenuered to the county board every three months.

BE IT RESOLVED, By tge county board of Supervisors of Bayfield
county assembled this 16th day of January A. D. 1906, that there be, and there hereby

is appropriated to the Bayfield County Fair Association, the sum of Two hundred
dollars (4p2oo.00) to assist said Bayfield county Fair Association in carrying on the
fair of this county by repairing grounds and buikdings for holding said fair, and
the Chairman of this Board and the County Clerk of this county, are hereby authorized
and directed to execute And issue to the Bayfied Comity Fair Association tile slni Of
a county order for said sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($2oo.00) out of the general
fund.

RESOLVED, That, in pursuance of the authority conferred by chapter 458, of the'
lays of Wisconsin, 19o5, that there is hereby appropriated from the General fund

A. W. McLeod appeared before the board asking. that a resolution be
pessed providing for a rebate on compromiseu tax certificate. The matter
was upon motion referred to the dommittee on Illegal Taxes and Tax certificates.
The following report of the Coamiztee on Printing and Stationary was
presented. and was upon motion adopted.

The following resolution was upon motion adopted:
Whereas, Action has been pending; for several years in the circuit court
of Bayfield County, between said Bayfield County as Plaintiff,:and. John E. Jones
as defendant, 'and _
Whereas more than a year has expired since the said action was triedl
and the same remains undertermined, now therefor,
Be It Resolved, by the County Board of Supervisors of Bayfield County,
assembled this 16th,'dey of January, A. D. 1906, that the Circuit Judge ,
before whore said action was tried be, and he is hereby requested to render
his decision in said action with all convenient speed, and that the county.
Clerk of this county be, and he -is hereby instructed to send a certified`

i Section 3 The Town of Mason shall receive fron the Town of Iron River
such proportions of the indebtness of said Town of Mason and pay to the said
Town of Iron River such proportion-,'f its credits as the value of the territory

of Hugo C. Nelson, County Surveyor, presented to this Board on November 14th, 1905
providing for the purl hase by the County of Plats and field notes for the
use of said Surveyor repectfully recohjiend:
1st. That a full set of blue print plates of all the property in
the County, toreather with blueprints of all the Goverment field noSres
be prepared for the use of the County Surveyor, and to be turned over to his
successor in office. the same to bound in flexible form so that same may, be
carried or rolled up, and that the said blue prints be of the standred size

attached_" and made a part of the town of Washburn in said county.
Section 2 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication.

Resolved, By the county Board of Bayfield County, that' the finance Committee, be
utherized and instructed to advertise for bids for the purchase by the county of any
f its outstanding bonds,'and investing such part of the sinking fund therein as the
omwittee may deim advisable, pursuant to section 9590 of the Wisconsin Statutues of

899. Such committee is hereby autherized to except the lowest bid provided the same
s within the terms provided by law.
