The following resolution was ppesented and upon motion adopted: Washburn, Wis. April, 19th, 1906. Whereas at a meeting of the County Board held on the 14th, day of November 1905 a resolution was passed authorizing the County•Clerk to Quit Claim to anyone applying therefor all property upon ,which the county has tax deed for the original face of the eertficates plus the cost of the deed, and whereas, } the force and operation of the said resolution will' expireon the 20th, day of - May, now thereforA be it resolved that the said resolution be and remain in ' force until ordered discontinued by the County Board. f E. ' E The following resolution was presented and upon motion adopted: Whereas, on November 14th, 1905, the County Treasurer of Bayfield Countywas authorized by a resolution'of this board to sell and assign ab$ and a a4, tax certficates at face, and Whereas, the period covered by said resolution will expire • on May 15th, 1906. therefore be it, c Resolvedi that the County Treasurer be and he hereby is authorized to sell any and all tax certficates owned by said county at their face without i; interest, �ndAe it_•further t Resolved, that this resolution be and remain in force until ordered discontinued. An?nrdignce providing for detaching eertdin territory from the Town of Drummond and adding same to the Town of Cable was presented and was upon motion laid over until the afternoon session. An.Ordiance providing for detaching certain territory from the Town of Drummond and adding same to the Town of Barnes was presented and was upon motion laid over until the afternoon session The following odd Rance was presented and upon motion adopted: AN ARDINANCE To detach certain territory from the Town of Mason in o Bayfield County, Wisconsin, and to sttach the same to and make it a part of the Town of Iron River, in said County, and to change the boundaries of said Towns of Mason and Iron River. ' The County Board of Supervisors of the County of Hayfield do ordain as follows: — Section 1. The boundaries of, the Towns of Mason and Iron River, in Bayfield County, Wisconsin, are hereby changed as follows: Sections numbered one (� (2).Three t3). Four (4). Nine (9). ten (10). Eleven (11).T%Yelve (12). thirteen (13). fourteen (14). Fifteen (15). Sixteen (16). Twenty one (21). Twer*y two O. !Twenty three (23). Twenty four (24).. Twenty Five (25), Twenty Six (26). o Twenty Seven (27). Twenty Eight (28).Thirty Three (33). Thirty four (34), Thirty five (35). and Thirty Six (36). in township numbered forty seven North (T. 47 N.) of. Range numbered eight west (R. S W.) t being now and theretofore a part of said thorn of Mason, are hereby: detached from the said town of Mason. and attached to and made a part of the town oT 7ronnRiver. r Section 2. The County Clerk of said county is hereby directed to make a plat and record of said towns under the provisions of section 673"W resin--'� f �II Statutes of 1898. , ; Section 3. The said town of Iron River shall pay to the town of Mason such proportion of the indebtedness.of said town of Mason now legally incurred, as the as essed valueof.4seid town of Mason for the year 5; and srid town of Iron River shall be intitled to receive from the said town 5 Mason its Just share of the credits of said town of Mason, to be apportioned in the same manner. , y Special Session April 23rd, 1906. County Treasurer in listing all tax eertfieates on hand November lst, 1905. was presented and was., upon motion &Acepted and the committee discharged. Upon motion it was dEXcided to pay the same rate for the publication of proceding ordinances, Notices, Etc. that was paid last year; the ratibeing thirty cents (.30).�per folXio. .. Upon motion the Board ajourned till one(1).o'elock P. M. Board met punsuint to adju4ient with all members of the morning session present. �( The following ordinance was'presented and upon motion adopted: The county Board of Supervisors of Bayfield County do ordain as follows; Section 1. Be it ordained by the board of supervisors of Bayfield Countyq duly assembled in special session this twenty third (23rd, day of April, A. D. 1906. that the west half of township fotty three (4?) North of range eight (8) westbe and the same is herebyhehached from the town of Drummond in said county and made to constitute a .part of the town of Cable in Bayfield County, Section 2.- It is further ordained that the county clerk be and he is hereby authorized to make a plat and record showing the alteration of the boundaries of the sRid towns of Drummond and town of Cable, and shall also cause the publication of the ordlAa,nce under section 673 Statutes of 1899. Section 3. The said town of Cable shall pay to the town of Drummond such proportion of the indebtedness of the said town of Drummond now legally incurred$ as the assessed value of the territory above described bears to the whole assessed value of the spid town of Drummond fortyl year 1905, and said town of Cable shall be intitled to receive from the town of Drummond its just share of the credits of the town of Drummone to be apportioned in the same manner. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after .its passage and publication. 572 Special Session April 23rd, 1906. ' • The follo wing ordinance was presented and upon motion adopted: AN ORDINANCE, To detach certain territory from the town of Drummond,* in Bayfield County, Wisconsin, and to attach the same to, and make it a pert of ;the town of parnes, in said county, and to change the boundaries of said towns .of Drummond and Barnes. The County Board of Supervisors of the county of Bayfield do ordain as follows:— Section L. The boundaries of the towns of Drummond and Barnes in Hayfield eountyq Wisconsin, are hereby changed and altered as follows: Township numbered forty three North (T. 45 N.') of range numbered nine west (R. 9 W.) being heretofore a part of said town of Drummond is hereby detached from said Town of Drummond and attached to •,'and made a part pf the town of Barnes. Lea, upon personal property claimed to be in his possession as Administraier of the estate of W. W. Lea, deceased, amounting to .121863. 09, including the 5 per centum collectors fees; and Whereas, Said tax was not paid, and an action was commenced on the 26th, day of February, A. D. 1906, in the circuit court for Bayfield County, !by said tovm of Iron River,as plaintiff against said Henry L. Lea, as defendant , ;for the collection of said tax; and Whereas, said action was pending in said court at the time the town ;treasurer of said town ma(le his diiinquent return, and said tax was returned s Jilin uent while in . Gentlemen: { Whreas at thetime of the appointment of Geo F.Morgan as supervisor Of assessment for Hayfield County, the time he was'to devote to his work as such supervisor of assessment was limited to 100 days, and Whereas it has been shown that it is inposible for him to do justice to the several assessment 'districts within the County in that space of time, on account of the vast territory to he covered, andthe mezW interests involved, therefore be it c Resolved by 'the County Board ,of Bayfield County, now in special meeting assembled, that the time limit for the supervisor of assessment for this Bayfield Count be Y ., and the same is hereby extended to 125 days, the per then to be the same as former ly agreed to.
