Gentlemen:
I have been asked by the ,:Wisconsin County Boards Association to act as sponsors
agent and director of a 1%P.A. project for the correction of illegal descriptions in each
of ray eight counties. The projects have been prepared; must be signed by your county
clerk and myself after approval of the project by your county board. It is important that
this approval be promptly given. If you have no immediate prospect of a board meeting per-
haps you can secure the approval of enough county board members to authorise your county
clerk to sign the project.
I shall contact as many of you personally as possible but am writing this that
we may get the projects going immediately and in case I do not see you.
These counties will be divided into twro districts as follows: Ashland, Bayfield,
Iron and Rusk counties with supervising office at Ashland; Burnett, Douglas, Sajlyer and
0Iashburn counties ,-ith supervising office at Superior. There will be a supervisor in
charge of each district and under my immediate supervision. He need not be on relief and
first of all must be experienced in.-:ork of this kind. I shall look to you in my selection
and act solely on qualifications.
Salaries of all employees ,trill he paid from welfare funds. Each district of
four counties must authorize the expenditure from county funds of two hundred dollars for
material and supplies and seven hundred dollars for travel expense for their supervisor.
This has been prorated on county valuations by districts as follows:

I believe there has been enough publicity given this matter so that you can ex-
plain the projects to your county board members. .-!e must get going just as soon as poss-
ible. This office will be limited in the time given to the work and can only handle the
matter vith two efficient and capable supervisors. Let me kno,,r when the project has been
approved by your county board so I may secure the county clerk's si nature and send the
project in.

Inasmuch as it was moved and seconded and carried at the last meeting that the
above matter be referred to the Sales Committee and reported back to the'Board, I am
hoping that the matter dri 11 be tulren cage of at your next meeting of December 5th.
I verbally offered you y 400.00 for the land and one building next to the rail-
road siding. This offer still stands, but would appreciate your prompt action -on the
matter_.
I have talked Lri th Mr. ':dilliams since the last meeting, but he did not give me
any satisfaction in the matter, that is, he did not make or pass any opinion on this,
any more than to say that he supposed the County Clerk ,.°s7ould get in touch With some
company in Mlil,,raukee that had riade a previous offer, to ascertain whether or not this
firm still zrEnted the property, this matter 'to be taken care of before the Sales Committee
would pass on my offer.
I grill expect some definite action on this at this meeting if possible.
