The following members answered roll call: Buss, Pease, Irish', B. Johnson, Buckley, Meyer, B.E. Johnson, Grubisic, Desparois, MacRae, Yderstad, Pristash, Berweger, Liebman, Pearson, Frostman, Johanik, Bagstad, Bloom, Shykes, Pajala, Moore, Tedlund, Knight, Nelson, Anderson, Robinson, Brink, .Moe and Wallin. Total 30. The following communication w6 read: I March 23, 1946 Mr. Ludwig Tranmal Washburn, Wisconsin Dear Mr. Tranmal; As chairman Alcott will be unable to attend the County Board meeting on the 26th of March the town board has appointed Supervisor William Shuga to re- present the Town of Bayfield. Barningham Town Clerk TOWN OF BAYFIELD Bayfield, Wisconsin Moved by Pease and duly seconded that William Shuga be seated as a member of the County Board representing the Town of Bayfield. The County Clerk sent out a call for the special meeting and the response to the request filed. in his office is as follows: Buss, Pease, Alcott, Irish, Frels, Buckley,' Meyer, B.E. Johnson, Grubisic, Desparois, Yderstad, Pristash, Berweger, Hanson, Liebman, Frostman, Johanik, Bagstad, Bloom, Shykes, Pajala, Moore, Tedlund, Knight, Nachsmuth, Nelson; Kasmarek, Anderson, Robinson, Brink, Moe and Wallin. Total 32. Moved by Meyer and seconded by Irish to dispense with the reading of the last minutes and with the reading of the call for a special meeting. Motion Carried. The following resolution was read: WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes for 1945 as created by the laws of 1945, it is necessary that the salary for each County official be set at the November meeting of the County Board; And Whereas, it is further required that it be' definitely stated whether or not the salary set included fees; Now, Theref ore, Be it resolved,- that the following salary schedule be set for the offices listed below: OFFICE SALARY PER ANNUM County Clerk $2400.00 County Treasurer $2400.00 FEES And Conservation Fees. And certified copies of tax statements, and bank statement fees. OFFICE SALARY PER ANNUM FENS Sheriff $2100.00 And civil fees, house rent, light, water and fuel. Undersheriff $1800.00 No fees. Register of Deeds' $2200.00 No fees. Clerk of Circuit Court $1900.00 And Naturalization fees. District Attorney $2100.00 And right to handle private practice and re- tain all fees- therefrom. Agricultural Agent $1300.00 And Federal and State contributions. No fees. Home Demonstration Agent $ 700.00 And Federal and State contributions. No fees. Public Welfare Director $2340.00 No fees. Traveling expenses as authorized by the County Board are in addition to the above salaries. This resolution shall become effective January 1, 1947. Dated: This 26th day of Match, 1946. Signed: Vic C. Total 32. NAYS: Meyer. Total 1. Motion Carried. Moved by Johnson and seconded by Liebman to leave the salary of the County Sup- erintendent of Schools at $2400.00 per year. Johnson, Grubisic, Desparois, MacRae, Yderstad, Pristash, Berweger, Hanson, Liebman, Pearson, Frostman, Johanik, Bagstad, Bloom, Pajala, Moore, Tedlund, Knight, Nelson, Anderson, and Robinson. Total 27. NAYS: Pease, Irish, Shykes, Brink, Moe and Wallin. Total 6. Motion Carried. The following resolution was read: TO THE HONORABLE BAYFIELD COUNTY BOARD: BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the County Board of Bayfield County, assembled this 26th day of March, 1946, that the per diem and mileage be allowed each member of the County Board as listed below and that the Treasurer is hereby ordered to pay such money and the Chairman and the County Clerk are, instructed to issue an order for the amount of such items listed below: NAME PER DIEM MILEAGE TOTAL Erwin Buss 5.00 .90 5.90 3 L.D.
