The undersigned hereby petitions you to withdraw from under the Forest Crop Law
the SWil of the SEg of Section 35-48-817 and offer the same to the .highest bidder,
according to law.
18,-1950-
The reason I am interested in purchasing this .particular description is that - I
have..sold to a Chicago party the SE of the S`W and because part of the SWx1- of the
SE-I lies between the description I have sold and the town road,
Another reason is the fact that the SW:1j; of. the SE-1 skirts a small lake and for a
distance of about 40 ft. the west line of the said description hits into this big
spring or small lake, so that the parties who purchased the SE- of the -SVQ would have
access to the town road and would be able to make use.of the small parcel bordering
on the lake.
Your consideration of this matter will be greatly. appreciated.

TO THE COUNTY BOARD OF RLYFIELD COUNTY, UI SC ONSIN :
The petition of Fred Buentjen of the Town of Clover, by Walter T. Norlin, his
attorney, respectfully represents and shows to your honorable body that he purchased
the property of the Ellen Pike Estate receiving a deed describing lots Eleven (11),
Twelve (12) and Thirteen (13) of the Subdivision of Lot Two(2) of Robert Bartless, Sr:
2nd Attition to Orchard City; that the administrator of the estate, J. Henry
Chatterson, as well as your petitioner Fred Buentjen, intended the sale to cover the
entire Pike property; that it,now develops that through inadvertence, an error was made
in the description of the property and a strip of land forming a part of•the Pike estate
was omitted from the probate proceedings, and consequently from your petitionerlw Deed,
this strip being a parcel in the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NWJ NE4)
of Section Eight (8), Township Fifty (60) North, Range Seven (7) West, being more
particularly described in Volume 132 of Deeds on page 278; that this strip has been
separately assessed on the tax roll and that the taxes are delinquent, the tax sale
certificates for the sales of 19470 1948 and 1949 being now owned and held by Bayfield
County; that there would be considerable expense involved in attempting to amend the
April 18,—I950 --
probate proceedings so as to give your petitioner title to this strip and he therefore
requests that he be permitted to purchase the tax sale certificates on said -parcel -for
the years 1947, 1943, and 1949 in order to thereby correct and perfect his title.

April 17, 1950
Dear Sirs:
On the 8th day of January I was coming east on the county road which goes to
Moquah about 5:10 in the evening. I saw what I thought was spread gravel on the road.
It was a full line of sand piled about 3 or 4 ft. high ready to be spread. There were
not any flags or flares or anything else on the road to let a person know there was
anything on the road. I ran into it and could not avoid doing it because the road
was glare ice. My two sons were with me in the front seat and both got bruised up.
did
I redly got scared and*not feel good. I must of hurt my back because ever since then
I get back aches.
I reported this to -Curry the follavying day. He got flags and all up then and
just laughed at me. I went to Norlin to find out what protection a driver has on a
road. According to law all objects left on a road should have a warning to let a
driver know what he is coming to, providing the road is open for traffic and it was.
I can get witnesses that this is all correct. I would like at present to get my
repair bill paid by the county. If not, I will carry this to a finish which will cost
more for us'..both.
