The meeting of the Bayfield County 2020 Census Redistricting Advisory Committee was called to order at
4:01 p.m. by Chairman Pocernich.
Members Present: Dennis Pocernich, Lynn Divine, Scott Galetka, Mark Abeles-Allison, John Carlson
Others Present: Fred Strand-Board Supervisor, Marty Milanowski-Board Supervisor, Jim Crandall-Board
Supervisor, Steve Sandstrom-Board Supervisor, Mary Dougherty-Board Supervisor, Charly Ray-Board
Supervisor, Larry Fickbohm-Board Supervisor, Jeremy Oswald-Board Supervisor, Jeff Silbert-Board
Supervisor, Paige Terry-Clerk III
Members of the Public Present: Tom Gordon, Billie Hoopman, Nancy Bussey, Bill Bussey, Gary

3. Approval of the Minutes from the August 23, 2021 Redistricting Committee Meeting:
Motion by Abeles-Allison, seconded Galetka to approve the Minutes of the August 23, 2021
Redistricting Committee Meeting. Motion Carried.
4. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Tentative Redistricting Plan:
Abeles-Allison reviewed some of the key guidelines for the redistricting process and population
changes in Bayfield County as a result of the 2020 Census. Galetka reviewed a variety of different
mapping options.
Bill Bussey spoke on behalf of the Town and City of Bayfield to explain why the board should
approve mapping option titled Revisions to Revisions 6. Kristin Connell, Nancy Bussey, and Tom
Gordon, Town of Bayfield, all spoke in favor of mapping option titled Revisions to Revisions 6.
Discussion took place regarding the mapping options provided to the committee.
Motion by Divine, seconded Galetka to present mapping option Revisions to Revisions 6 to the
full county board for approval as the Bayfield County Tentative Redistricting Plan. Motion
carried, 5-0.
5. Adjournment: There being no further business to discuss, Chairman Pocernich adjourned the
meeting at 4:37 p.m.
