6. Discussion regarding Superior Days Topics:
7. Health insurance reimbursement options discussion: Bayfield County
currently shares the cost of health insurance with employees. BC pays
90%, employees pay 10%. Several employees have inquired about a
bonus if they don’t take insurance coverage with BC.
8. Discussion and possible action regarding the establishment of specific
criteria for the Bayfield County Economic Development Corporation to
meet in order to obtain additional funding from Bayfield County. I
met and discussed this issue in general with Frank Graves and Jim
Radke. I stressed the committee’s interest in job creation and grants
benefiting BC.
9. Discussion and possible action regarding Mileage Reimbursement and
Use of County Vehicles. I would like to review our policy for county
vehicle usage. At present our policy is for departments to use County
Vehicles. When a county vehicle is not available we use personal
vehicles.
10. 2002 and 2003 Budget Review:
11. Audit Review. Our audit firm has completed the 2001 audit. All of
you should have received a copy of it. They have stated that our
financial statements “present fairly, in all material respects, the
financial position of Bayfield County”.
12. Adjournment.
Should you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact
my office.
Sincerely,
Mark Abeles-Allison
