b. Capital Improvements Summary: Abeles-Allison explained that one-time capital
purchases are budgeted in this fund so that the department budgets reflect only regular

the General Fund. In 2016, approximately $980,000 of Fund Balance are proposed to be used
for the capital improvement fund. A list of proposed capital purchases was reviewed. Brief
discussion was held regarding the Sheriff’s Department request for a replacement patrol boat,
which would be reimbursed by the DNR over a 5 year period. Abeles-Allison noted that

needed.
