Dear Committee Members:
This letter is written to inform you of the Bayfield County Personnel Committee
Meeting scheduled for Monday, February 17, 2003 at 4:00 p.m., in the County
Board Room of the Bayfield County Courthouse, Washburn, Wisconsin. The agenda
for this meeting is as follows:
AGENDA
1. Call to Order;
2. Motion Regarding Minutes of January 16, 2003 Personnel Committee Meeting;
3. Discussion & Possible Action: The committee may go in and out of Executive
Session pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c) for the purpose of
considering compensation of Seasonal/Casual and Limited Term employees.
A. Enclosed please find a memo sent to the Zoning Committee
recommending that the $10 cap on seasonal casual employees be
maintained. Two individuals were recommended for increase.
One was at a wage of $8.50 then other $10.00. The
recommendation was to maintain the $10 cap. Zoning requested
that both employees be given increases, one of those would be
over and above the $10.00 cap we have now for office workers.
4. Review and Approval of AFSCME side letters:

a. Alternate Work Schedule for Department of Human Services: This is to
extend it until the end of the current year.
b. LCC LTE Positions: These are for the two grant positions.
5. Personnel request and process report: Attached please find the form I will be
using for new hires.
6. Personnel Manual Update Review: Section IV review.
7. Negotiation Topic Discussions: The committee may go in and out of Executive
Session pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(e) for the purpose of discussing
negotiation topics.
8. Any Other Items for Discussion as Presented by Committee Members or the
County Administrator
