Motion Carried Discussion & Possible Action regarding year-end performance summaries for the Group Health Trust. Abeles-Allison reviewed statistics regarding the county’s medical claims reports provided by the Group Health Trust. Discussion took place regarding various statistics. Discussion & Possible Action regarding clarification of part-time wages for Sheriff’s Department personnel. Abeles-Allison explained that the minutes of the March Personnel Committee meeting should be clarified. Motion by Good, second by Rondeau to clarify the part-time Sheriff’s Department wages. Part time employees will start at $8.50 per hour, $10.00 per hour after 100 hours, and $12.50 per hour after 600 hours. Motion Carried. Staffing Update: Land Use Specialist, Economic Support Specialist, Victim-Witness Coordinator, Deputy Clerk of Court, Deputy Sheriff, Jail Sergeant, Environmental Health Technician, Public Health Nurse, Judicial Assistant, Clerk I in the Clerk of Courts office, Summer Zoning Assistant, Clerk II/Medical Secretary, Clerk I-Human Services, LCC Resource Management Specialist, Discussion and Possible Action Regarding various Job Descriptions. Diane Daulton explained the Resource Management Specialist job description. The position became vacant due to a resignation and the duties of the position are being re-evaluated. Various aspects of the position were discussed. Motion by Good, second by Rondeau to approve the Resource Management Specialist Job Description. Discussion. Roll Call Vote: Paulson-No, Blahnik-No, Kittleson-yes, Good-Yes, Rondeau-yes. Yes-3, no-2 Motion Carried. Comments regarding the job description will be incorporated into the description. Part-time Shoreland Restoration Specialist job description was reviewed. This would be a pilot position, not to exceed 970 hours per year and would be a Bayfield County employee. Funding for the position would initially come from budgeted monies that will not be used due to the Resource Management Specialist vacancy. Fees for enforcement are proposed to be used to fund L:\COMMITTEES AND BOARDS\PERSONNEL COMMITTEE\2005\Personnel Committee Minutes 060205.doc Page 2 of 2 the position in the future. Motion by Good, second by Paulson to approve the Shoreland Restoration job description with incorporated comments. Motion Carried. Report on Recent Labor-Management Committee Discussions: Abeles-Allison explained that the LSALMA group has recommended that future discussion regarding HRA’s should be Rondeau was excused from the meeting during the executive session. The committee may enter in and out of Executive Session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes §19.85(1)(c,e) to discuss employee performance, employment and bargaining issues. Motion by Rondeau, Second by Good to enter Executive Session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes §19.85(1)(c,e) to discuss employee performance, employment and bargaining issues. Roll Call Vote: All-yes, Motion Carried. Rondeau was excused from the meeting at this time. Motion by Paulson, second by Good to return to open session. Roll Cal Vote: All-yes Motion Carried. Motion by Good, second by Paulson to Adjourn. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:00pm.
