Minutes of the
Bayfield County Personnel Committee
4:00 pm Thursday, June 3, 2010
Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Bayfield County Annex, Washburn WI
Present: Brett Rondeau, Dee Kittleson, Beth Meyers, Shawn Miller
Excused: William Bussey
Others Present: Mark Abeles-Allison-County Administrator, Kristine Kavajecz-Confidential

Called to order at 4:05pm by Rondeau.
Motion Kittleson, Meyers to approve minutes of the May 12, 2010 Personnel Committee
Meeting. Motion Carried.
Exercise Equipment: Abeles-Allison explained that injuries occurring during non-work time
such as during lunch breaks or before/after work would not be considered under worker’s
compensation. Rowing and an Eliptical machine were discussed.
Motion Miller, Meyers to approve the expenditure of up to $3000 from the Health Reserve fund
for the purchase of an elliptical machine. The remaining cost should be covered by employees or
employee groups. Motion carried.
Motion Miller, Kittleson to enter executive session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes §19.85(1)( c,
e, f, g) for the purpose of: approving Executive Session minutes of the May 12, 2010 Personnel
Committee meeting, Discussion/Possible Action Regarding Interim Health Officer wages and
compensation, Discussion/Possible Action Regarding Employment, Promotion, Compensation
and/or performance evaluation data, Discussion/Possible Action regarding union grievance
issues, Discussion/Possible Action reclassification requests. Roll Call Vote : All-Yes Entered
Executive Session at 4:17pm.
Motion Miller, Meyers to return to open session. Motion Carried. Returned to open session at
5:00pm.
Next meeting is scheduled for July 1st at 4:00pm.
Meeting Adjourned at 5:00pm.
