Staffing Review & Prioritization: The committee reviewed information that was provided over the last couple of months from the Planning & Zoning Department, Treasurer’s Office, Child Support Office and Clerk of Court Office. Various ideas and suggestions were discussed with regard to planning for attrition and departmental changes as a result of funding. Items that will be investigated include: how other counties manage their Child Support programs, ie..stand alone departments, part of another department, and contracted services; comparison of staffing levels in the various departments compared to other counties, taking work load into consideration. It was noted that although no major changes in the Clerk of Court office are anticipated, legal expenses in the department are climbing, primarily due to court appointed legal representation.
