Dear County Board Members:
This letter is written to inform you of a Bayfield County Personnel Committee
Meeting scheduled for, Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 4:00 pm, in the Emergency
Operations Center (EOC), Bayfield County Courthouse, Washburn, Wisconsin. The
agenda for this meeting is as follows:

1. Approval of minutes of the April 17, 2013 Personnel Committee meeting.
2. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Sick Leave Policy.
3. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding WPPA grievance 13-00221, step 3.
4. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Contract Negotiations with WPPA.
5. Discussion and Possible Action on Personnel Manual Modifications.
a. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Holiday Compensatory Time
Policy for Jail Staff.
6. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Wage Study, including discussion of
Merit Wage.

8. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding appointment of Impartial Hearing
Officer for Grievances.
9. The committee may enter in and out of closed session pursuant to Wisconsin
Statutes §19.85(1)(c, e, f, g) for Discussion and Possible Action Regarding:
a. WPPA Grievance and WPPA Contract Negotiation Strategy
b. Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation
data of county employees over which the governmental body has jurisdiction
or exercises responsibility.
c. Conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering
oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with
respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved.
