The meeting was called to order by David Good at 12:05 P.M.
Agenda Item : The Committee was meeting to discuss the request by the Township’s of Russell and Bayfield
to enter into an agreement for the purposes of crushing gravel at the Sand River Pit. The Committee and
representatives of the Townships had discussed this request at their Committee Meeting on June 3, 2009 and
postponed action at that time. Tom Toepfer, Commissioner of the Highway Department stated that he had
gotten a draft from Oneida County on an agreement which they had in place. Tom stated that he had walked the
site the day before the meeting and felt that there may be potential at the site.
It was explained by David Good that the Townships would want to crush ten thousand yards of gravel per
township, which would supply their needs for a four to five year period of time.
There was discussion regarding the jurisdiction and Mr. Good stated that the Townships preferred jurisdiction.
Bill Kacvinsky stated that the area would need to be tested to know how much resource there was available.
Dave Good stated that it was the Townships goal to have gravel by next Spring. Bill Kacvinsky stated that he
felt that the Committee needed more testing and information in order to make an informed decision.
After discussion the issue was tabled.
The Committee moved to a motion for Executive Session.
Respectfully Submitted:
Barbara Suminski
