Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee Meeting
The Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee will meet on Monday, April 9th at 5:30
p.m. in Training Room of the courthouse in Washburn Wisconsin. The Training Room is
located in the lower level of the courthouse, situated below the Land Records and Zoning
Departments. The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
Agenda
1. Call to Order.
2. Approval of the March 12, 2012 Meeting Minutes.
3. Public Comment – Limited to 3 minutes per person.
4. Monthly Financial Report.
5. Todd Naas, WDNR Wildlife Biologist. Annual request to maintain wildlife openings.
Discussion and action regarding this request.
6. Recreational Use Request: Ned Zuelsdorff, American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation.
Discussion and possible action regarding new ski trail construction in the Town of
Cable.
7. Land Use Request: Bob Lang, Town of Barnes. Discussion and possible action
regarding request to dispose of tree stumps on county forest land in the Town of
Barnes.
8. Spring Timber Sale Offering. Discussion and action regarding the approval of the
2012 spring timber sales.
9. 2012 Town Road Aids. Discussion and action regarding the following topics:
a) Approval of a resolution to the County Board authorizing the transfer of funds
to the 2012 Town Road Aid revenue and expense accounts.

b) Selection of 2012 projects.
10. Timber Sale Contract Revision. Discussion and possible action regarding proposed
updates to the timber sale contract.
11. Parks. Discussion and possible action regarding the following topics:
a) DNR Shoreline Restoration Grant.
b) Twin Bear and Delta Lake Outbuilding Repair.
c) Campground Maintenance Report.
12. General Discussion Items. Action as needed:
a) Gypsy Moth Quarantine.
b) General Department Updates.
c) Steve Coffin and Joseph LeBouton, DNR Representatives, Comments.
13. Executive Session. The Committee may enter in and out of Executive Session
pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 19.85(1)(g)(e) for the purpose of considering legal
advice regarding strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which
it is or is likely to become involved and for the purpose of deliberating or negotiating
the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds or conducting other
specified public business whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a
closed session:
a) Approval of the March 12, 2012 Executive Session Minutes
b) Jackman Lake Road Access Issue.
c) Lyme Timber (formerly Wausau Paper) 40 Acre Parcel Acquisition.
