Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee Meeting
The Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee will meet on Monday, May 7th at 5:00 p.m.
in the County Board Room of the courthouse in Washburn, Wisconsin. The agenda for this
meeting is as follows:
Agenda-Amended
1. Call to Order.
2. Election of Forestry and Parks Committee Chairperson. Nominations, discussion and
action regarding this election.
3. Election of Forestry and Parks Committee Vice-Chairperson. Nominations, discussion
and action regarding this election.
4. Approval of the April 9th Meeting Minutes.
5. Public Comment – Limited to 3 minutes per person.
6. Spring Timber Sale Bid Opening. Discussion and action regarding the opening,
recording and preliminary awarding of the spring timber sales.
7. Land Use Request: Bob Lang, Town of Barnes. Discussion and possible action
regarding request to temporarily store tree stumps on county forest land in the Town of
Barnes.
8. Monthly Financial Report.
a) Forestry
b) Parks
9. Recreational Use Request: Central Cross Country Ski Association (CXC). Discussion
and possible action regarding request to host the Telemark Forest mountain bike race on
July 14th, 2012 in the Town of Cable.

10. Recreational Use Request: Cable Area Chamber of Commerce. Discussion and possible
action regarding request to host the Cable Area Off-Road Classic mountain bike race on
May 19th, 2012 in the Town of Cable.
11. Land Use Request: Cable Area ATV Association. Discussion and possible action
regarding request to add approximately ½ mile of new ATV trail to Trail 57 in the Town
of Cable.
12. Land Use Request: Cable Area ATV Association. Discussion and possible action
regarding request to add approximately ¼ mile of new ATV trail to Trail 55 in the Town
of Cable.
13. Sand and Gravel Policy. Discussion and possible action regarding sand and gravel
policies and procedures.
14. Bayfield County Ordinance Amendment. Discussion and possible action regarding
amending Bayfield County Ordinance Section 12-2-3, Responsibilities and Duties of the
Forestry and Parks Committee, to include the administration of sand and gravel pits
located on county forest land.
15. Parks. Discussion and possible action regarding the following topics:
a) Update on Outbuilding Repair and Electric Projects.
b) Update on ADA Access at Twin Bear.
16. General Discussion Items. Action as needed:
a) Gypsy Moth Quarantine Training.
b) Access Management.
c) Spring Planting Update.
d) Joseph LeBouton, DNR Representative, Comments.
