The Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee will meet on Monday, September 10th at 6:00 p.m. in
the County Board Room of the Courthouse in Washburn, Wisconsin. The agenda for this meeting is as
follows:
1. Call to Order.
2. Public Comment – Limited to 3 minutes per person.
3. Approval of the August 13th Meeting Minutes.
4. Access Permit Request: Rick and Kayla Polson. Discussion and possible action regarding a
request to access property located in the Town of Hughes.
5. Presentation: Erika Lang, Conservation Manager, Landmark Conservancy. Fire Hill Acquisition
Project in the Town of Bayfield. Discussion and possible action regarding the presentation,
including the potential for county ownership and management of the property.
6. Monthly Reports. Discussion of general activities, events, issues and accomplishments. Possible
action on report(s) only.

a. 2018 Budget.
b. Stewardship Grant.
c. Oak Wilt.
d. Forest Certification.
e. GNA.

7. Siskiwit River Preserve Project Update. Discussion and possible action regarding the initial
developments of the project, including short and long term goals and objectives.
8. Access Permit Request: Dwight and Valerie Olson. Discussion and possible action regarding a
request to access property located in the Town of Orienta.
9. 2019 Campgrounds and Yurts Policy and Pricing Review. Discussion and possible action
regarding potential modifications to operating procedures and policies, as well as pricing
structures for county campgrounds and yurts.
10. 2019 Budget. Discussion and possible action regarding the 2019 Forestry and Parks Department
operating budget.
11. Access Permit Request: Mike Cariveau, CEO, Bayfield Wireless. Discussion and possible action
regarding a request to access property located in the Town of Bayfield.
12. Joseph LeBouton, DNR Representative, Comments.
