The Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee will meet on Monday, April 8th at 6:00 p.m. in the
County Board Room of the Courthouse in Washburn, Wisconsin. The agenda for this meeting is as
follows:
1. Call to Order.
2. Public Comment – Limited to 3 minutes per person.
3. Approval of the March 11th Meeting Minutes.
4. Wildlife Opening Maintenance Request: Todd Naas, WDNR Wildlife Biologist. Discussion and
possible action regarding the annual request to maintain wildlife openings on county forest land.
5. Continuous Forest Inventory (CFI) Program Update/Report: Jason Holmes, Inventory and
Analysis Forester. Discussion regarding the first year of the CFI program.
6. Monthly Reports. Discussion of general activities, events, issues and accomplishments. Possible
action on report(s) only.
a) Forestry (all updates):
a. 2019 Budget.
b. Stewardship Grant.
c. Oak Wilt.
d. Trespass in Iron River.

7. Spring Timber Sale Offering. Discussion and possible action regarding the approval and offering
for bids of the 2019 spring timber sales.
8. Recreational Use Request. Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association (CAMBA).
Discussion and possible action regarding a request to host a Women’s Mountain Bike Clinic on
existing trails located near Mt. Ashwabay. The event would be held on May 17-19, 2019.
9. 2018 Accomplishment Report. Discussion and possible action regarding the report.
10. Resolution Authorizing Participation in Various State and Federal Aid/Grant Programs.
Discussion and possible action regarding the renewal of this resolution.
11. Joseph LeBouton, DNR Representative, Comments.
