The Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee will meet on Monday, October 14th at 6:00 p.m. in
the County Board Room of the Courthouse in Washburn, Wisconsin. The agenda for this meeting is as
follows:
1. Call to Order.
2. Public Comment – Limited to 3 minutes per person.
3. Approval of the September 9th Meeting Minutes.
4. Presentation: Across the Pond Veterans Park. Jane Snilsberg, Treasurer. Discussion regarding
the presentation, including a request for additional land in the Town of Hughes.
5. Presentation: Barrens Management and Development. Bob Hanson, WDNR NW Sands Wildlife
Biologist. Discussion and possible action regarding the presentation, including plans to develop a
secondary barrens management area, on county forest land, in the Town of Hughes.
6. Bayfield Area Trails System (BATS). A general overview of the Bayfield Area Trails System
and Committee. Discussion and possible action regarding BATS, including Forestry and Parks
Department representation on the BATS Committee.
7. Monthly Reports. Discussion of general activities, events, issues and accomplishments. Possible
action on the report(s) only.
