The Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee will meet on Monday, September 13th at 6:00 p.m. in
the County Board Room of the Courthouse in Washburn, Wisconsin. The agenda for this meeting is as
follows:
1. Call to Order.
2. Public Comment – Limited to 3 minutes per person.
3. Approval of the August 9th Meeting Minutes.
4. 2022 Forestry and Parks Department Budget: Discussion and possible action regarding the
budget.
5. Monthly Reports. Discussion of general activities, events, issues and accomplishments. Possible
action on the report(s) only.
a) Forestry (all updates):
a. 2021 Budget.
b. Carbon Project.
c. Red Cliff Land Sale/CFL Withdrawal.
d. Burns/Duquette Trespass/CFL Withdrawal.
e. Stewardship Project(s).
f. Xcel Energy Temporary Bypass Line.
g. Barrens/Wildlife Projects.
b) Campgrounds and Day Use Parks (update).
a. Siskiwit Falls Celebration.
c) Trails and Recreation (all updates):
a. Motorized Trails.
i. Wally Polk Trail.
b. Non-Motorized Trails.
c. Yurts.
d. Events.
d) Delta Landfill (update).
6. 2022 Campground and Yurt Pricing and Policy Modifications. Discussion and possible action
regarding the following items:

a. 2022 camping, boat launch and boat mooring prices at Twin Bear, Delta Lake and Big
Rock campgrounds.
b. 2022 seasonal camping structure at Twin Bear and Delta Lake campgrounds.
c. 2022 pricing for all three yurt locations.
7. County Conservation Aid Grant. Discussion and possible action regarding the annual application
for the 50/50 cost share State grant.
8. Recreational Use Agreement Template. Discussion and possible action regarding a draft
recreational use agreement template.
9. Event Request. Ashwabay Outdoor Education Foundation. Discussion and possible action
regarding a request to host a Mt. Ashwabay Women’s Mountain Bike Clinic event in the Towns
of Bayfield and Bayview. The event would occur on September 17 and 18, 2021.
10. Committee Members Discussion. Discussion regarding matters of the Forestry and Parks
Department.
11. Joseph LeBouton, DNR Representative, Comments.
