The Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee will meet on Monday, October 11th at 6:00 p.m. in
the County Board Room of the Courthouse in Washburn, Wisconsin. The agenda for this meeting is as
follows:
1. Call to Order.
2. Public Comment – Limited to 3 minutes per person.
3. Approval of the September 13th Meeting Minutes.
4. Recreational Use Request and Agreement. Iron River Chamber of Commerce. Discussion and
possible action regarding a request to expand dogsled trails in the Iron River area and establish a
long-term recreational use agreement with the Iron River Chamber of Commerce.
5. Recreational Use Agreement. Ashwabay Outdoor Education Foundation (AOEF). Discussion
and possible action regarding the approval of a long-term recreational use agreement with AOEF.
6. Land Use Request. Xcel Energy. Discussion and possible action regarding a request by Xcel
Energy to install a temporary bypass powerline on county owned lands in the towns of Bayview
and Bayfield.
7. Monthly Reports. Discussion of general activities, events, issues and accomplishments. Possible
action on the report(s) only.
a) Forestry (all updates):
a. 2021 Budget.
b. Carbon Project.
c. Red Cliff Land Sale/CFL Withdrawal.
d. Burns/Duquette Trespass/CFL Withdrawal.
e. Stewardship Project(s).
f. Conservation Aid Grant.
g. Barrens/Wildlife Projects.

c) Trails and Recreation (all updates):
a. Motorized Trails.

8. Fall Timber Sale Offering. Discussion and possible action regarding the approval and letting of
the 2021 fall timber sales.
9. Access Permit. Edward Stoczynski. Discussion and possible action regarding a request to access
property located in the Town of Barnes.
10. Committee Members Discussion. Discussion regarding matters of the Forestry and Parks
Department.
11. Joseph LeBouton, DNR Representative, Comments.
