The Bayfield County Forestry and Parks Committee will meet on Monday, January 10th at 6:00 p.m. in
the County Board Room of the Courthouse in Washburn, Wisconsin. This meeting will be held in-
person, but a remote participation option is available. The public will be able to participate in the meeting
in-person or remotely via voice either by using the internet link or phone number below. A maximum of
15 members of the public will be allowed in-person. Please contact the Forestry and Parks Department at
715-373-6114 if you have access questions prior to the meeting. During the meeting, please email
Lindley.mattson@bayfieldcounty.wi.gov if you are experiencing issues connecting remotely.

The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
1.Call to Order.
2.Public Comment – Limited to 3 minutes per person.
3.Approval of the November 8th Meeting Minutes.
4.Land Acquisition. Discussion and possible action regarding the purchase of approximately 160
acres in the Town of Bell.
5.Resolution. Sale of County Forest Land to the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and
Withdrawal of Land from County Forest Law. Discussion and possible action regarding the
resolution.
6.Resolution. Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Grant for County Forest Land Acquisition. Discussion
and possible action regarding an application for Stewardship funds to assist in the purchase of
approximately 2,000 acres in the Towns of Bayfield and Bell.

regarding the plan.
9.Resolution: 2021 Year End Budget Amendment. Discussion and possible action regarding a year
end amendment of the 2021 Forestry and Parks Department operating budget.
10.Access Permit Renewal Request. Charly Ray. Discussion and possible action regarding a request
to renew a temporary access permit in the Town of Russell.
11.Recreational Use Request. American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation. Discussion and possible
action regarding a request to host the Epic Mountain Bike Fest, in the Town of Cable, on June 4
and 5, 2022.
12.Recreational Use Request. North End Ski Club. Discussion and possible action regarding a
request to host the following events (all in the Town of Cable):
a.North End Snowshoe Classic, January 8, 2022;
b.North End Classic Ski Race, February 6, 2022;
c.North End Trail Run, May 28, 2022;
13.Committee Members Discussion. Discussion regarding matters of the Forestry and Parks
Department.
