If you are unable to attend this meeting, please call the Health Department and let me know. Call the Meeting to Order 2. Approval of December 17, 2012 Meeting Minutes 3. Adoption of Agenda 4. Environmental Health: a. Inspections Report Review number of inspections, pre-inspections, re-inspections and other activities done by the environmental health staff. b. Change to Temporary Food Event Licensing Proposal to change the current “per event” fee to a “one-time” per year fee. This change would reduce the number of inspections the Sanitarians perform and also increase revenue by charging the higher one-time fee. c. Beach Monitoring Program UW-Oshkosh students are no longer available and funding has been cut. Do we want to continue the program internally. 5. Budget Update a. 2012 final budget update b. 2013 first quarter budget update 6. 2013 County Health Rankings Report Summary for Bayfield County: Information as to where Bayfield County ranks among Wisconsin counties in the categories of health outcomes, health factors, health behaviors, clinical care, social and economic factors, and physical environment. 7. Status of Medical Equipment Loan Program: Update on the process and current status of eliminating the loan equipment program as directed by the Board of Health due to equipment maintenance, certification and liability issues. 8. Status of CHIP: Summary of the combined efforts of the Ashland-Bayfield Counties Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) and Memorial Medical Center. By Statute local health departments are required to do a Community Health Improvement Plan. The IRS is now requiring non-profit hospitals to also prepare a plan. 9. St. Louis and WALHDAB Presentation Update: Bayfield County Health Department along with Ashland County Health Department, Kevin Stranberg from Memorial Medical Center and Julie Hladky from UW Population Health (provided grant funding) were selected to present our community health assessment and planning process as a “best practice” at the ACHI national conference in St. Louis in March and at the WALHDAB state conference in Wisconsin Dells in May. 10. Preparedness Update: A summary of work activities and plan updates will be shared. Grant funding requires exercising with partner agencies; exercise scheduled for May 7th. 11. Northwoods Shared Services Grant project update: Discuss the progress of the Northwoods Shared Services Project, meeting schedule and template documents. The project is aimed at helping health departments and policymakers explore the potential of cross-jurisdictional sharing to expand the quality and availability of services while also improving efficiency. Bayfield County is a partner in this grant project. 12. WIC Update/Fit Families Review: Update on WIC caseload, funding and recruitment of WIC families to participate in the Fit Families Program. 13. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Amending 2013 Budget: Two of the grants the Health Department awarded to the Health Department on 2012 started in 2012 and end in 2013. Action is needed on a resolution amending the 2013 budget to include the funds not expended in 2012. 14. Next Meeting Date 15. Other Issues 16.
