Call the Meeting to Order 2. Approval of April 15, 2013 Meeting Minutes 3. Adoption of Agenda 4. Environmental Health: a. Inspections Report Review number of inspections, pre-inspections, re-inspections and other activities done by the environmental health staff. 5. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Prenatal Care Coordination (PNCC) Services with Iron County: We have just signed an MOU with Iron County Health Department. Using the Bay Area WIC Project we will begin seeing pregnant women in Iron County. This new project will be part of a quality improvement project and shared services planning grant. 6. Lake Superior Beach Testing: We did receive a very small pot of funding to do beach testing for Thompson’s West End Beach. Testing began Wednesday, June 5th. We will be using a combination of bacterial sampling and USGS predictive modeling to monitor the beach this summer. All other Lake Superior beaches in Bayfield County will be sampled once per week from Memorial Day to Labor Day. 7. UW-Oshkosh Intern: Shannon Johnson, an environmental health student with UW-Oshkosh, will be working in our bacterial water lab as an analyst and sampling our Lake Superior beaches this summer. Shannon is funded by Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and UW-Oshkosh. 8. TB MOU with Ashland County Health Department: The health department has always supplied TB skin testing as part of health screening for individuals and businesses in our county. The program has become cost-prohibitive so we will be sharing TB solution between counties. New protocols are in place. 9. New WIC Director: Jennifer Jako has resigned and her last day was June 7th. Interviews were June 7th and 10th. New Director announced. 10. Alcohol and Other Addiction (AODA) Task Force Activities: Grant funding, prom and graduation focus. Event at Bayfield School, WI Medical Society. 11. Capital Improvement Project Request: Update on door swing and carpet in entrance or consider moving reception to other side of building. Issues with signage, customer traffic, cold, wind, heat visibility. Discussion of options and consideration. 12. Additional Funding in Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP): The Health Department purchased calibrated thermometers for vaccine refrigerators and freezers, and lab refrigerator and incubator, and four IPads and three cameras for environmental staff. 13. Regional Trauma Advisory Council Collaboration: We have been asked by Jan Victorson, Emergency Management Coordinator, to be the fiscal agent for RTAC. 14. Child Death Review (CDR) Team: CDR team request came from State CDR coordinator and local coroner Gary Victorson. 15. Germann Fire: Power Point presentation with pictures of fire, timeline of progression and actions that were taken by various agencies in controlling the fire and tending to residents. 16. Discussion and Possible Action on a Resolution Amending the 2013 Budget to Account for Increased Funding for PHEP Grant: The Health Department has received and additional $6,445 for additional preparedness equipment. 17.
