Dear Health Board Members,
There is a Health Board meeting scheduled for Monday, October 20, 2014, at 4:00 pm. in the
EOC located in the Bayfield County Annex Building, Washburn, WI. If you are unable to
attend this meeting, please call the Health Department and let me know.
Any person wishing to attend who, because of a disability, requires special accommodations,
should contact the Bayfield County Health Department office at 715-373-6109, at least 24 hours
before the scheduled meeting time, so appropriate arrangements can be made.

2. Approval of August 18,2014 Meeting Minutes
3. Adoption of Agenda
4. New Lead Testing Rules: Michelle or Anne-Marie will provide a summary. Discussion 5 mcg/dcl
blood lead level recommends home investigation and education by Health Department. Bayfield
County Lead Policy and Procedure identifies this level as investigation level.
5. Environmental Health New Enforcement Protocols: Michelle Dale, Environmental Health
Sanitarian, will present our written compliance policy which is recommended to have in place by both
State and DATCP. This addresses how we do our enforcement starting from the routine inspection.
It emphasizes working with the operator and doing education, which the State wants to see versus
fines, citations, etc. It also allows the Sanitarians to use their discretion to issue re-inspection fees,
citations, etc.
6. 2014 Third Quarter Budget Review
7. Infrastructure Grant Award: $8,950 late award. Required to complete Public Health Accreditation
Board (PHAB) self-assessment (initially completed in 2010) and Strategic Plan, and complete a
quality improvement project identified in the self-assessment. Funded work toward PHAB
Accreditation.
8. Update on WWWP Planning: Funding for the Wisconsin Well Woman Program will be gone in
June 2015. State is exploring what process will be used to provide the service to women on the
program. Discussion of the options that the State has suggested.
9. Ebola: Health Officer will discuss the role of public health in these situations. What activities and
information has been shared with community partners. What will happen here if a case is identified in
our county. Resources and response information.
10. Influenza Update: Flu vaccine supply, planning and activity review.
11. Next Meeting Date: Monday, December 15, 2014 at 4:00 pm in the EOC.
