Dear Health Board Members,
There is a Health Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 12th, 2018, at 5:00 pm, in the
Bayfield County EOC located in the Bayfield County Annex Building, Washburn, WI. If you
are unable to attend this meeting, please call the Health Department and let me know.
Any person wishing to attend who, because of a disability, requires special accommodations, should
contact the Bayfield County Health Department office at 715-373-6109, at least 24 hours before the
scheduled meeting time, so appropriate arrangements can be made.

9. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Budget Resolution to Accept Communicable
Disease (Control and) Prevention Grant
Funds were awarded to Bayfield County Health Department for FY 2018 in the amount of $3,200
for the Communicable Disease Prevention Grant. Funds can be used to meet the responsibilities
of LHDs under § Chapter 252 to reduce the burden of communicable disease (CD), ensure or
increase capacity to respond to CD events, training to increase competencies around CD issues,
purchase additional equipment to allow for easier access when following up on CD reports, more
extensive or complete follow-up on CD outbreaks/reports, and increasing CD awareness in the
community along with practical prevention opportunities.
10. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Budget Resolution to Accept Chequamegon Bay
Area Fund Grant
Funds were awarded to Bayfield County Health Department for FY 2018 in the amount of $1,000
to be used to purchase car seats for the Chequamegon Bay Area Car Seat Program which gives
car seats, provides instruction and education on child passenger safety to local families in the
community.
11. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Budget Resolution to Accept Security Health
Plan Grant
Funds were awarded to Bayfield County Health Department for FY 2018 in the amount of
$21,213 to be used to increase the infrastructure available to the public for physical activity to
promote health and wellness. The Bayfield County Health Department will be partnering with the
City of Washburn to turn a hiking trail into a combination fitness/hiking trail.
12. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Budget Resolution to Decrease Revenue and
Expenses for the WIC Grant
Federal and State grant funding was decreased for FY 2018.
13. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Clinic Fee Schedule
Discussion surrounding reduction in immunization costs associated with Hepatitis A vaccination.
14. Update on Radon Information Center
Update on progress towards becoming northern Radon Information Center by FY 2019.
15. Update on Bayfield County Health Infrastructure Grant
Review of number of applicants for Health Infrastructure Grant and decision to fund projects for
2018-2019.
16. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding 2019 Health Infrastructure Grant
Discussion and input from Board of Health regarding the potential to offer Health Infrastructure
funds in 2019.
17. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Free Influenza Immunizations for Bayfield
County Residents
Continued discussion regarding the possibility of free flu shots for Bayfield County residents and
potential return on investment for community.
18. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Environmental Health Inspection Fees
Update from spring time study for the Environmental Health program.
