Box 100 Washburn, WI 54891-0100 BAYFIELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Bayfield County Courthouse Conference Room B Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 10:00 am Committee Members Present: Mary Lou Jahr, Shelli Listing, Lona Schmidt, Barbara Gadbois, and Ann Glavan Committee Members Absent: Renea Woerle. Staff Present: Megan Collins, Carrie Linder and Denise Ruberg. Others Present: Deanna Yost, and Dan Gadbois. Call to order: The meeting was called to order by Lona at 10:00 a.m. and introductions were made. Review/adoption of minutes from 8/13/2013 meeting: Mary Lou made a motion to approve the minutes; Barb seconded; motion carried. 2014 FSP Plan-Review and consideration for approval: Committee members reviewed the 2014 Family Support Program Annual Plan Update. Lona asked a motion be made to approve the update; Shelli 1st the motion and Barb seconded; motion carried. FSPAC membership, participation, and recruitment: Megan asked the group what they see as their role as a member of FSP Advisory Committee. Ann stated she sees their role as making services known to members of the community. Megan also questioned if they should do more recruiting to get increase in membership. Lona suggested sending an invitation to the meetings to parents with children on the wait list as a way for them to connect with others who may be able to offer input and support. Barb’s term ends in July 2014. Megan will look into the policy to see if there is a limit as to how many terms a member can be on the committee. Purchasing of Assistive Technology Procedure: Megan stated the purchase process has been streamlined. Committee members reviewed the Purchase of Assistive Technology form. Waiting list update and change: There are currently two separate waiting lists for CLTS and FSP. The state is requiring that CLTS and FSP wait lists are combined to make one waiting list. Other: The FSP Advisory Committee meetings will be held at the Courthouse in Washburn. Support Staff will take minutes at the meetings instead of Megan or Carrie. Deanna Yost, Consultant and Support Broker, requested getting FSPAC member’s e- mails so she can update them on area events. Deanna was invited to present at the next FSP Advisory Committee meeting in September. Next meeting: 9/9/14: The next meeting will be held on 9/9/14 at 10:00 a.m. in Conference Room B.
