Glavan to approve the FSP Annual Plan Update with the correction to Item #10, second
by Listing. Motion carried
Update Facebook Support Group: Collins had sent out information to others to
review and does not know if they have reviewed it or not. Liz posts information to site.
Family Support Program Staffing Update: Collins stated that she will be here for
two more months. Her new job starts on August 1, 2015. Collins noted that the
position has been reposted due to lack of applicants. Questions asked about the hiring
process and qualifications. Brief discussion followed.
Other (information items only): Collins distributed information on the Children’s
Community Options Program from WCHSA (Wisconsin Counties Human Services
Association.) Brief discussion followed.
Schmidt noted that the Iron River Lion’s Club has started a program to assist families
that need ramps for homes in the Iron River area. The ramp is the property of the
Lion’s Club. Families can use the ramp until no longer needed. When not needed any
longer, the Lion’s Club is contacted and they will come and remove it from the premise.
Only criteria Schmidt is aware of is “a need” and hardship towards the cost to build a
ramp, if needed. Need is subjective to review. Contact person for the Lion’s Club is
President Faith Pittsley. Bill Trautt is in charge of construction.
Adjournment: Schmidt adjourned the meeting at 10:40 a.m.
Minutes respectfully submitted by Jane Cook, Clerk III
