Box 100 Washburn, WI 54891-0100 BAYFIELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES CHILDREN’S COMMUNITY OPTIONS PROGRAM ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Bayfield County Courthouse, Conference Room B Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Committee Members Present: Shelli Listing, Sara Wartman, Mary Lou Jahr, Lona Schmidt, Barb Gadbois Committee Members Absent: Jaime Goodlet, Robyn Klobucher, John Knight Community Members Present: Dan Gadbois Staff Present: Kristin Opperman, Heather Gilbertson Call to order: Lona called the meeting to order at 10:00 am. Review/adoption of minutes from 09/11/2018 meeting:  Review of Minutes  A motion was made by Mary Lou to approve the September 11, 2018 meeting minutes, seconded by Sara, all in favor, motion carried. Children’s LTC Program Enrollment / Waiting List Elimination Initiative  Three children were added to the waitlist from Ashland County who have now moved to Bayfield County.  One child will be enrolled by the end of the day, 12/11/2018 and 1 more will be enrolled by the end of 2018, making that 29 children on the caseload.  One child will be turning 18 and will age out of the program in 2019, we are working on transition this child over to the Adult Long-Term Care Programs.  One child will be transitioning over to Douglas County services. ADRC Presentation  The CCOP program can serve children up until their 22nd birthday, Bayfield County prefers to transfer children to the Adult programs when they turn 18. Once a child ages out of the CCOP program they transition into ADRC services.  See Brochure for ADRC services.  See Handouts on Covered Services in WI’s Long-Term Care Programs; Family Care & IRIS. Bayfield County DHS – Host Site for Waisman Center  We are now set up as a Host Site for Waisman Center Conference’s.  Waisman Center is located on the UW-Madison Campus.  February 12, 2019 we will have the 1st conf. called, “Access to Mental Health Services for people w/Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Developmental Disabilities.”  This conf. runs from 8:30-12:30 in Conf. Room A. or if more room is needed it will be in the EOC.  There are no Autism Services available in the Ashland / Douglas / Bayfield / Iron Counties. Review 2019 CCOP annual plan update:  The plan update was submitted to the Dept. of Health Services, Division of Medicaid Services, Bureau of Children’s Services on November 27, 2018.  A motion was made by Sara to approve the Plan Update with a change to the number of children receiving services through CCOP, seconded by Shelli, all in favor, motion carried. Other (informational items only):  The Great Lakes Visitor Center will be having a Conf. in January for parents, families and school systems for discussion of Meeting the needs of kids w/intellectual disability and how to be flexible with their learning. 2019 Meeting Dates:  March 12, 2019  June 11, 2019  September 10, 2019  December 10, 2019 Motion to Adjourn: Meeting adjourned at 11:22 am.
