CHILDREN’S COMMUNITY OPTIONS PROGRAM ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
Bayfield County Courthouse, Conference Room B
Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
Committee Members Present: Shelli Listing, Sara Wartman, Mary Lou Jahr, Barb Gadbois, John Knight
Committee Members Absent: Jaime Goodlet, Robyn Klobucher, Lona Schmidt
Community Members Present: Dan Gadbois
Staff Present: Kristin Opperman, Heather Gilbertson
Call to order: Barb called the meeting to order at 10:05 am.
Review/adoption of minutes from 12/11/2018 meeting:
Review of Minutes
A motion was made by Mary Lou to approve the December 11, 2018 meeting minutes, seconded by Sara, all
in favor, motion carried.
Children’s LTC Program Enrollment
The waiting list was eliminated the end of December 2018.
Twenty-nine kids are enrolled in the waiver and/or CCOP program.
23 children currently receiving CCOP services. If any of the 6 children receiving CLTS Waiver-only services
identify a need that could be met with CCOP, then this program will be added to their service plan.
One child will be transferring to Adult Services.
One child moved to Douglas County but retained services through Bayfield County will now be transferred
to Douglas County services next month.
One new child is starting the evaluation process and may be added to services soon.
Hooves of Joy Presentation:
Therapeutic Riding Center located South of Ashland on Highland Road.
PATH Center Credentialed
Wausau is the closest Therapeutic Riding Center that has PATH Credentials.
Approval of the 2019 CCOP annual plan:
No action needed at this time.
The plan was submitted in November and approved in December.
Talk of having more parents come to the meeting even if just once or twice a year.
Letters go out quarterly to families sharing information about upcoming conferences, classes and committee
meetings.
Review CCOP Advisory Committee manual:
No new information to add
Other (informational items only):
Lots of Conferences taking place in April and May.
Autism Society of WI is April 11-13.
The Harborview Event Center will be hosting a Mental Health Summit April 24-25
Circle of Life will be in Stevens Point May 2-3
WITC is hosting Family Voices- Children w/Youth & Special Health Care Needs – Transition “What’s after High
School.”

A motion was made by Shelli to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Sara, all in favor, motion carried.
