HomeMy WebLinkAboutComprehensive Community Service Committee - Minutes - 8/13/2019Ashland HHSD and Bayfield County DHS Regional Comprehensive Community Service (CCS) Coordination Meeting EOC Room – Bayfield County August 13, 2019 ACCS Members Present: Terry Barningham (alternate for Laura Compton), Joan Haukaas, Nancy Schouten ACCS Members Excused: Rick Whiting ACCS Members Unexcused: Amber Jensen BCCS Members Present: Cheryl Hanson, Karlan Williams BCCS Members Excused: Linda Jorgenson, Nicole Gurnoe BCCS Members Unexcused: Andrew Austin Members-At-Large: Val Levno, Thomas Mittlestaedt Others Present: Dave Longsdorf (Douglas County, by phone), Nettie Titel, Brenda Spurlock Call to order and Introductions Mittlestaedt called the meeting to order at 3:50 p.m. Review Minutes from May 14, 2019 Meeting; Housekeeping Douglas County CCS Withdrawal from Our Region Dave Longsdorf from Douglas County, by phone updated the group. They will not be moving forward with the CCS program at this time. They are going to withdraw from the Regional meetings at this time. He hopes to come back once they get their CCS program up and running. Training: QPR: Question, Persuade, Refer with Brenda Spurlock, Northlakes Community Clinic Spurlock provided information about Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR). The QPR mission is to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing innovative, practical Motion by Hanson, seconded by Williams to approve May 14, 2019 minutes as presented. Motion passed unanimously. and proven suicide prevention trainings. Spurlock offers training. She stated it takes about an hour. ACCS Issues and Concerns None BCCS Issues and Concerns None Opportunity for Public Comment None Future Meetings October 8, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. CCS Ashland and Bayfield Counties Regional meeting – at Bayfield County Department of Human Services Conference Room A, 117 East Fifth Street, Washburn, WI Future meeting dates will be discussed at the October meeting. Motion to adjourn Minutes submitted by: Nettie Titel, Administrative Professional – Ashland County Motion to adjourn the meeting by Williams, seconded by Hanson. Motion passed unanimously. Mittlestaedt adjourned the meeting at 4:20 p.m.
