Bayfield County
Development and Land Sales Committee
October 27, 2020
Bayfield County Board Room/Optional Remote
Washburn, WI
1. The meeting was called to order by Brett Rondeau at 5:45 p.m.
Rondeau, who was remote then turned the meeting over to Vice
Chairman Marty Milanowski
Members present were Brett Rondeau (remote), Marty Milanowski, Larry Fickbohm,
Fred Strand and Tom Snilsberg
Also present were Mark Ables-Allison, Bayfield County Administrator; Scott Galetka,
Bayfield County Land Records Administrator; Perri Shuga Campbell, Bayfield County
Tax Deed Clerk.
2. Motion regarding minutes of the August 26, 2020 meeting. Motion by
Fickbohm, seconded by Rondeau to approve the minutes as presented.
3. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Tax ID #35173 in the Town of
Cable. Scott explained that the parcel had been put out on the auction site but an
issue with an interest of title was put forth by the neighboring landowner, Heather
Ludzak Wangaard. He explained that it is in the best interest of the County to deed
the property over to her in order to avoid an adverse possession lawsuit. Motion by
Rondeau, seconded by Snilsberg to deed the property over to John C Wangaard Jr
and Heather Ludzak Wangaard. Motion carried,
4. 2020 Land Auction Report. Scott told the committee that 14 parcels had been
put on the Wisconsin Surplus auction site and three had sold bringing in a total of
$61,923. The parcels that didn’t sell will be put back out for bidding, with the
minimum bid starting at the highest bid placed on the parcel. One more parcel,
31720 Peacy Road in the Town of Bayview will also be placed on the auction site
later this week.
8. Meeting Adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
