Discussion and Possible Action on Brand Identity: Dan Trzinski and Gary Haas were brought in on a conference call; they presented a brief history of the brand identity project and reviewed the reason it is important to portray a consistent brand along with the logo and tagline that were chosen and a review of the guidelines for their use. It was suggested by Chairman Rondeau that we share the brand with the all businesses and organizations in the county for their use to tie in with the county and that the Tourism Department develop a policy for use of the brand identity for all county departments and the county as a whole. Motion (Jardine, Bennett) to adopt the new Bayfield County logo and tagline for the Tourism Department and bring to the Full County Board for approval for use by all county departments. Motion Carried. IV. Report from Director: A. Budget Review – due to recent budget cuts, there may be an issue with going over budget with printing costs which have traditionally remained constant and/or increased; the number of pages in the 2014 will be reduced as an effort to stay within the reduced budget, but revenue projections for advertising sales remain at previous levels, which presents a challenge. B. Updates on Goals & Objectives – Motiff shared information on recent advertising purchases and media coverage and provided updates on the marketing plan. V. Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 4:03 pm. Respectfully submitted by: Mary D. Motiff Director – Tourism Department
