Regular meeting called to order by: David Good, Chairperson (9:20 am) 2. Minutes from February 5, 2010 LCC meeting: Motion - to approve February 5, 2010 minutes by Jardine/Tetzner - carried. 3. Public Comment – No public in attendance 4. Agency Staff / Partners Reports - GH provided a fact sheet about the Conservation Stewardship Program. Also passed out hand outs regarding other programs (EQIP, CTA,GLCI, WRP) funneled thru NRCS. GH noted EQIP sign-up is complete with a total of 19 in 2010. There were more applications received than could be accepted, therefore all funds are being utilized. 5. Resolution (LCC-2010-01): Motion - to approve Resolution (LCC-2010-01 Version #2) to address Asian Carp threat and forward to full county board by Jardine/Tetzner - carried. DG pointed out this resolution shows Bayfield County supports this issue. 6. Amend official FPP map: Motion - to amend the official FPP map to include parcels #1-5 as presented by Jason Fishbach and forward to full county board by Jardine/Beeksma - carried. 7. MOU with Whittlesey Creek Wildlife Refuge: Motion – Approve use of cooperative agreement as presented, subject to approval pending review by Administrator and Corp. Council as necessary: Beeksma/Jardine – carried. BL The blanket agreement will help reduce time and paperwork involved with initiating projects. 8. Appointment to LCC of a citizen representative for surface waters: Motion – recommend adding citizen representative for surface waters to LCC by Jardine/Beeksma – carried. BL a lakes person is recommended in the LWRMP. DG suggested reviewing the County local ordinance to see how the LCC is made up and if an amendment to the ordinance is necessary. 9. 2009 LWCD Annual Report: Motion – accept report as presented by Beeksma/Tetzner – carried. DG stated he is very pleased with the LWCD and its accomplishments. 10. LWRMP Update: BL presented the plan in Madison on April 6, 2010 to the Land & Water Board. The LWB is impressed with our accomplishments and thought our plan was well thought out. 11. Mitigations / LWCD staffing update: BL There are many advantages to having LWCD continue mitigations. The reports are very helpful in decision making to the Board of Adjustment. However, time is an issue and support in administration area is necessary to keep ahead of the mitigations. Working to increase admin position to full time. 12. Wildlife Damage Program: Dave Schultz – Report on file 13. Status Report: Lake Superior CREP – Alex Sagert – Report on file 14. LWCD Staff Reports: a) Stefania Strzalkowska, AIS Coordinator – Report on file b) Jennifer Schierman, Office Manager– Report on file c) Ben Dufford, Technician – Report on file d) Butch Lobermeier, County Conservationist – Report on file 15.
