Staff: Ben Dufford; Stefania Strzalkowska; Dave Schultz; Jennifer Schierman; Bobby Stephenson Attendance: Mark Abeles-Allison, County Administrator; Jason Fischbach, UW Ext. Public Attendance: None 1) Called to order by: Bucky Jardine, Chair (9:02 a.m.); Chair requested bringing discussion item #7 before item #6 – Carried by consensus; 2) Approval of Minutes from July 15, 2010 Zoning/LWCD/BOA Joint Meeting & July 23, 2010 LCC meeting: Motion - to approve July 15, 2010 Zoning/LWCD/BOA Joint Meeting & July 23, 2010 LCC meeting minutes by Bussey/Bichanich – carried; 3) Public Comment(s): NONE 4) Agency Staff / Partners Reports – NONE; 5) Wildlife Damage Program – DS report on file; 7) Discussion/Possible Action: (AEA) Resolution to Amend the Town of Bayfield FPP – JF The final step to revise the FPP map which is consistent with the City of Bayfield Comprehensive Plan, previous map was hand drawn, classification remains same as 1982, the green area on map is what is being revised (excluding sect. 17) Motion - to approve FPP map as presented by Bichanich/Bussey – carried; 6) Discussion/Possible Action: Approval of 2011 Proposed Budget: Motion – approve 2011 budget as proposed and forward to Administrator/Full Board by Bussey/Bichanich – carried; 8) Discussion/Possible Action: Shoreland Mitigation workload – BD is working with Travis Tulowitzky in zoning in order to keep mitigations moving forward. MAA would like mitigation issues addressed and to get a good grip on status of mitigations. This can be assessed between now and Feb. 2011. No action necessary. 9) Update on the Twin Bear Project – BD attended the Tourism Mtg (8/11/10) where an extensive motion was made addressing three (3) critical issues. A Civil Engineer will have a drawing/plan available during the Aug. 31, 2010 County Board Mtg for review/approval. At this point the LWCD status on the Twin Bear Proj. - on hold. 10) LWCD Staff Reports; a. Stefania Strzalkowska, AIS Coordinator- report on file b. Jennifer Schierman, Clerk I - report on file c. Ben Dufford, Technician/Interim County Conservationist - report on file, also noted that a US FWS grant potential was brought to his attention to start another watershed group. There is a meeting scheduled 9/1/10 at NGLVC Ben is attending. Also, has 4 potential restoration projects on Bony Lake. It’s possible that a design person is available to create the restoration plans. In order for work to begin, plan will need to be reviewed/approved by Ben, DNR and GOC. 11) Other business as authorized by law: NONE; 12) Next meeting date: Friday, September 17, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the E.O.C.; 13) The Committee may move in/out of Executive Session Pursuant to Wisconsin Statute §19.85(1)(c) for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data related to the County Conservationist and Interim Conservationist positions: Motion - to move into closed session by Bussey/Bichanich – carried No action taken; 14) Adjourn
