Present: Bucky Jardine, Chair; Marco Bichanich, Vice-Chair; Bill Bussey; Neil Schultz; Peter Tetzner (9:55)

1) Call to order 9:01 Bucky Jardine
2) Approval of Minutes (April 12, 2013): MOTION: Bichanich / Schultz - carried
3) Public Comment: NONE
4) Agency Staff / Partners Reports:
a. NRCS Update: KS: Discussion/Possible Action: Rmvd sect 13, updated, spells out vehicle usage,
partnership, etc. This MOU has been standard over the past several years.: MOTION approve MOU
between BC LWCD & NRCS and authorize Ben Dufford, County Conservationist and Bucky Jardine, LCC
Chair to sign Bussey / Bichanich - 3 ayes, 1 opposed (NS) –carried. (NS is not approving document at this
time, would like to review further.
KS: Public Mtg to be held 8/27/13 at1:00 at the Ashland Field office, local work group gather from thru-
out ABDI, everyone invited to look at local resource concerns.
b. USFWS Update: None
c. WDNR Update: None
d. BRWA Update: Tony Janisch, New Director, Began back in June, speaking at the Delta Diner (9/28/13);
Erika Lang: Outreach in Marengo, Cmty mtg/Discussion re. fish, 40 landowners, hoping to do another
Mtg in fall turn landowners to County for projects, feasible, high priority (including: WRP, planting,
livestock fencing, already prioritized area) L/O already.

5) Wildlife Damage Program Update - Dave Schultz – report on file
6) Discussion / Possible Action Approve 2013-15 AIS Grant Application: JB: Added boat cleaning areas, display
materials, expanding monitoring efforts MOTION Approve 2013-15 AIS Grant Application – Bichanich /
Bussey – carried.
7) Discussion / Possible Action: MOTION Approve 2013 Budget Amendment(s) AIS AEPP-294-11 Bussey /
Bichanich - carried
MOTION Approve 2013 Budget Amendment(s) NCWMA Educ Proj. (WMA13-0001) Bussey / Bichanich -
carried
8) Discussion / Possible Action Approve the 2014 LWCD Budget Proposal: BD: Went over budget proposal
with LCC; MOTION Approve the 2014 LWCD Budget Proposal and forward to full County Board for
approval Bichanich / Bussey – (4 ayes – 1 abstain) carried
9) 2013 Project Update – TT: Went over several projects that the dept. has been working on this field season. It
has been slow going due to weather conditions. Many organization, agencies were involved with the FWS
project at the Dusenbery project. More projects will begin this fall, primarily Ag. Projects. Farmers are very
excited about the assistance provided, whereas in the past it was a little more trying to get “buy in” from
farmers.
