Fifth Street, PO Box 878, Washburn, WI 54891 DRAFT Minutes of the: Bayfield County Ad Hoc EMS Advisory Committee June 20, 2022 6:00 p.m. Meeting Held in the County Board Room, Courthouse Building, Washburn, WI & Remotely The meeting of the Bayfield County Ad Hoc EMS Advisory Committee was called to order at 6:02 p.m. by Committee Chair, Steve Sandstrom. Members Present: Brett Friermood, Rob Puls, Steve Sandstrom, Larry Fickbohm, Lyn Cornelius, Jan Victorson, Dan Vaillancourt, Sandy Raspotnik, David Larson, David Trudeau, Scott Kluver, Eric Neff Alternates Present: Beverly Steele Members Excused: Michael Lang, Colleen Beagan, and Gary Victorson Other members present: County Administrator-Mark Abeles-Allison, County Clerk-Lynn Divine virtually, Emergency Management Director-Meagan Quaderer, Ashland Fire Director-Chris Pribek virtually, Board Supervisor-Jeff Silbert virtually, and Clerk III-Paige Terry virtually Item 3. Introductions of Committee Members: Chairman Sandstrom dispensed with the item. Item 4. Public Comment: None. Item 5. Discussion and Possible Action, Minutes from the April 25, 2022 Ad Hoc EMS Advisory Committee Meeting: Motion by Neff, seconded by Cornelius to approve the Minutes of the Monthly Bayfield County Ad Hoc EMS Advisory Committee Meeting held on April 25, 2022 with the following correction made to the minutes to fix member Rob Puls being listed in the minutes twice, once as absent and once as present in attendance. Motion carried. Item 6. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Bayfield County Emergency Medical Services Advisory Study Committee Final Report: The committee reviewed several editorial corrections that should be made to the report. Motion by Cornelius, seconded by Neff to approve the final report with the agreed upon changes to be presented to the County Board. Motion carried. Item 7 & Item 8. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Local Jurisdiction Emergency Medical Services Resolution and Discussion on County Emergency Medical Services Resolution: County Administrator, Mark Abeles-Allison, reviewed the Now Therefore Be It Resolved Clauses for both resolutions. The committee discussed several changes that need to be made to both resolutions. Motion by Raspotnik, seconded by Neff to approve the Local Jurisdiction Emergency Medical Services Resolution with the agreed upon changes. Motion carried. 2 Motion by Neff, seconded by Kluver to approve the County Emergency Medical Services Resolution to be forwarded to the County Board for approval with the agreed upon changes. Motion carried. Item 9. Discussion and Possible Action on June 28 Final Report: Abeles-Allison asked for volunteers to present the final report to the County Board alongside Emergency Management Director, Meagan Quaderer at the June meeting. Neff volunteered to participate. Sandstrom thanked the members of the committee for their participation and contribution to the committee. A group photo was taken. Item 10.
