Call to Order and Introductions
Kemmer called the meeting to order at 3:01 p.m. and introductions were made.
Discussion and Possible Action-Review of the December 6, 2021, Meeting Minutes
Tabled until the next meeting.
Discussion and Possible Action-Recommendations for the appointment of William Bland as a citizen
member of the committee
Motion by Dougherty, seconded by Hanson to approve Bland’s appointment to the Aging and Disability
Services Advisory Committee. Motion passed.
Presentation: World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
Ellie Webb, DCS will present Dementia Friends to the Red Cliff Boys and Girls Club. After presentation a
discussion will take place on how to recognize Elder Abuse and how the Boys and Girls Club can help.
Boys and Girls Club attendees will draw, write or create something that is related to Elder Abuse and
present it to the Elders at the Elder luncheon on June 15, 2020, at Legendary Waters.
Ninety- six pinwheels that represent the number of elder abuse referrals in 2021 will be installed at
Washburn City Hall.
Restructuring of the Aging and Disability Advisory Committee and the Nutrition Advisory Counsil
Linder indicated that the A&D Advisory Committee will meet 4 times per year and the Nutrition
Advisory Council will meet 4 x per year. Both will be held on separate days/times. A&D Advisory
Committee will meet in August and December. The Nutrition Advisory Council dates and times will
vary, as members will be attending meetings at the congregate meal sites.
Other (Program Updates and Informational Items)
ADRC Modernization – Linder reviewed information recently provided by WIDHS & BADR.
Transportation - Door to Door is being underutilized although people that use it really like it. TCC will
be working on outreach and marketing in the near future.
Outreach – Health Fair in Herbster was successful with good dialogue, senior meal sites are becoming
outreach posts.

Elder Nutrition –Congregate sites have been opened and are well attended. Dougherty noted that it
will be important to ensure enough funding for these sites.
Staffing – Ruth Oppedahl has been hired as the fourth home delivered meals driver. The final route
division will occur in the next few weeks.
Covid Unwinding – The Public Health Order ends July 16, 2022. The Federal Government will notify
State 60 days in advance if this is to occur.
Kemmer adjourned the meeting at 4:05 pm
