The idea is to re-start this committee and to hold the meetings in a different place each time to help familiarize the members with the different areas. Settgas stated that it was a committee that began due to feedback from a Human Services Consumer Satisfaction Survey. Gordon presented several topics that the committee could work on: -Underage drinking (particularly 14-15 yr olds) as well as adult alcohol problems -Periodic issues (as they arise) -Human Services Funding issues (presently being worked on) -Cemetery Land -Economic Development Corporation -Impact 7 -161 Agreement -Child Welfare (Both Indian and County) -Criminal Justice (alternatives to jail) -Communication with Sheriff’s Department (MDT) -Highway -Health -Tribal Enforcement -Law Enforcement-Mutual Aid -Parcels of Land On the topic of parcels of land, the 80-acre parcel of land owned by Cecelia DePerry was discussed. DePerry stated that the tribe would like to reclaim lands that were previously owned by the tribe. Dispersal of County land was briefly discussed: IE.. Isolated parcels and Timbered parcels The prospect of Industrial Property on Hwy 13 was briefly discussed. Meeting adjourned at approximately 4:00pm.
