Committee Members Absent: Nancy & Dale Johnson. Others Present: Mary Anich (Family Services Section Manager), and Nina Bucher (Support Staff). Introductions and Call to order: Chairman Schmidt called the meeting to order at 4:34. Minute Approval: Schmidt asked if there were changes or a motion to approve the 1/11/23 FSAC meeting minutes. None were cited so Lindell made the motion to approve and Schmidt seconded. Motion carried. Public Comment Opportunity: No public comment. New Committee Member Recruitment: Anich asked for input on Citizen member applicant Darlene Neff. Discussion ensued. Schmidt made a motion to recommend Darlene Neff be approved for the FSAC Committee by the Human Services Board, Patterson seconded. Motion carried. Staffing Updates: Anich relayed that the three newer hires were busy training and doing great! She noted that active recruiting for the last CPS opening has been put on hold until these three are trained to a point where they can work independently. Hoping for May timeframe. The current staff are enjoying their Family Services teammates! Program reports: WI Learn is a new Child Protective Services (CPS) onboarding training program that began 1/1/2023. New CPS workers throughout the State are assigned to a cohort (group) to complete the training together virtually. Every two weeks members join together in a Community Huddle to cover different topics. The training is proving very valuable as all workers are learning the same information and networking. The training period is the first six months of employment. Only the latest hire is currently completing the WI Learn training. Informational Items: Anich explained that the Behavioral Health workers who are now overseen by Tom Croteau in the Behavioral Health Programs section are not covered by an Advisory Committee and could possibly be added under the FSAC. If this is approved, Tom will join the meetings and topics related to Behavioral Health be discussed. Minutes are subject to change before approval at next FSAC meeting K:\Agendas and Minutes\Family Services Advisory Committee\FSAC Minutes\2023 FSAC minutes\2023-04-12_FSAC_Meeting minutes-draft.docx 2 Future Meetings: Meetings will continue quarterly on the second Wednesday of the month: July 12 and October 11, 2023 Adjournment: Schmidt adjourned the meeting at 4:56 pm.
