Notice is hereby given that a majority of the Bayfield County Board may be present at the meeting to gather information about a subject over which they have decision- making responsibility. This constitutes a meeting of the Bayfield County Board pursuant to State ex rel. Badke v. Northern Lights Overview. • Non-Profit Nursing Home • Facility owned by Bayfield County, Leased to Northern Lights • 65 bed nursing facility, recently changed to 50 beds. • 18 Bed Assisted Living Comparison of Facility Types in Wisconsin: Non-profits make up 93 of the 341 nursing homes in Wisconsin. 27%. 6. Attached are various financial reports shared by Mark Ehlers. • 2020/2021 Financial Statements • Estimated 2023 Cash Flow • Supplemental Payments Document from 2015, If BC was to become operator and contract for operations. Prepared by WIPFLI 7. Rene Eastman with Leading Age will discuss nursing homes in general in Wisconsin. 8. Bayfield County Human Services will share how they contract with nursing homes in the region and what potential services they could contract for in the future. 9. Walk in cooler in the kitchen needs to be completed soon – 2 quotes pending Capital Improvements: 1-2 years • Window replacement - All windows and some exterior doors in facility - Previous bids range from $163,000-$320,000 • Parking lot repair - No quotes obtained • Sidewalk repair - No quotes obtained for entire repair. Individual repairs quoted as needed. Captial Improvements: 5 years • Tunnel/New building basement repair - Dig up and reseal basement/tunnel - Previous quotes approximately $180,000 • Control Update on upstairs air handlers - 3 air handlers to be updated - Previous quotes at roughly $15,000 per unit • Control update on resident room radiator controls - Previous quotes approximately $1000-$2000 per room. - 45 resident rooms plus common area controls - Total $45,000-$90,000 plus common areas • Roof Inspection - Potential repair/replace
