NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BAYFIELD COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE
JUNE 17, 2010 AT 4:00 P.M.
BOARD ROOM, COUNTY COURTHOUSE
WASHBURN, WISCONSIN
The Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee of the County Board of
Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. in the
Board Room of the Bayfield County Courthouse in Washburn Wisconsin relative to the
following:
George F. Barnes, Jr, Michael Patrick Barnes, and James B. Johnson are
petitioning for a zoning district map amendment on their 20-acre parcel (ID #04-004-2-
45-09-28-2-04-000-10000), located in the E ½ of the SE ¼ of the NW ¼, Section
Twenty-Eight (28), Township Forty-Five (45) North, Range Nine (9) West, Town of
Barnes, Bayfield County, WI from Forestry-One (F-1) to Agricultural One (Ag-1).
Stellar East Holdings, LP and Stellar West Holdings, LP are requesting an after-the-
fact conditional use permit to exceed the 35’ height restriction (requesting 41’) on their
23.87–acre parcel (ID# 04-018-2-44-07-14-3-05-009-10000), described as part of Gov’t
Lot 9, Section 14, Township 44 North, Range 7 West, Town of Drummond, Bayfield
County, WI.
Marianne Mueller is petitioning for a zoning district map amendment on her 5.19-acre
parcel (ID# 04-004-2-45-09-33-1-04-000-30000), described as part of the N ½ of the SE
¼ of the NE ¼ (found to be an illegally created parcel), Section Thirty-Three (33), Township
Forty Five (45) N, Range Nine (9) W, Town of Barnes, Bayfield County, WI from
Forestry-One (F-1) to Commercial (C).
Glen W. Harvey is petitioning for a zoning district map amendment on his 1.23-acre
parcel (ID# 04-012-2-43-08-35-1-01-000-04000), described as the W 107’ of E 407’ of N
500’ of the NE ¼ of the NE ¼, Section 35, Township 43 N, Range 8 West, Town of
Cable, Bayfield County, WI from Residential-Two (R-2) to Residential-One (R-1).
Bill & Marsha Walsh have requested a conditional use permit for the operation of a two
(2) unit short-term rental with the replacement of 1 of the 2 units in the future to
construct a new residence. This request also encompasses the replacement of the
residence on the parcel of land which cannot be sub-divided. Their property is
described as a 1.70-acre parcel (ID# 04-034-2-43-06-02-3-05-005-60000), described as
Lot 2 of CSM 81, Section 2, Township 43 N, Range 6 West, Town of Namakagon,
Bayfield County, WI.
William and Denise Marincel, owners and Dave Johnson, agent have requested a
conditional use permit to construct and operate a fish farm with processing, storage and
distribution on-site and from the site; they also request to use the existing buildings to
operate the Crossroads Outreach Center (Transitional Ministry). The property is a 40-

¼, Section 29, Township 47 N, Range 5 W, Town of Eileen, Bayfield County, WI.
Bayfield County, owner and Nathan Ward, agent have requested a conditional use
permit to construct a 199’ telecommunication multi-use tower and facility structure. The
Leased property is described as a 5.754-acre parcel, a 0.229-acre parcel and a 0.362-
acre parcel (ID #04-004-2-43-09-21-2-01-000-10000), located in part of the NW ¼ of the
NW ¼, Section 21, Township 43 N, Range 9 W, Town of Barnes, Bayfield County, WI.

All interested parties are invited to attend said hearing to be heard. Any person wishing
to attend who, because of a disability, requires special accommodations, should contact
the Planning and Zoning office at 373-6138, at least 24 hours before the scheduled
meeting time, so appropriate arrangements can be made. Immediately after the public
hearing, the Planning and Zoning Committee will hold its regular monthly meeting.
