BOARD ROOM, COUNTY COURTHOUSE WASHBURN, WISCONSIN The Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee of the County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. in the Board Room of the Bayfield County Courthouse in Washburn Wisconsin relative to the following: Del Jerome has requested a conditional use permit to operate a non-metallic mine on his 14.70–acre parcel (ID# 04-018-2-45-08-33-2-04-000-20000), described as N ½ of the SE ¼ of the NW ¼, less E 350’ in V 922 P. 11, Section 33, Township 45 North, Range 8 West, Town of Drummond, Bayfield County, WI. Included in this request will be the requirement(s) of the reclamation plan, which will be addressed separately. Venstone LLC has requested a conditional use permit to continue operating the non- metallic mine on their 80–acre parcel (ID# 04-024-2-47-08-15-2-01-000-10000) described as NE ¼ of the NW ¼ and the SE ¼ of the NW ¼ (aka: E ½ of the NW ¼), Section 15, Township 47 North, Range 8 West, Town of Iron River, Bayfield County, WI. Included in this request will be the requirement(s) of the reclamation plan, which will be addressed separately. Mathy Construction Co., owner and Richard Forsythe, agent are requesting a conditional use permit to operate a non-metallic mine on a 39-acre parcel (ID# 04-024- 2-47-06-36-3-04-000-10000), described as the SE ¼ of the SW ¼, Section 36, Township 47 N, Range 8 W, Town of Iron River, Bayfield County WI. Included in this request will be the requirement(s) of the reclamation plan, which will be addressed separately. Wilderness Inquiry, owner and David Kingman, agent have requested a conditional use permit to expand their existing (2007) private campground. Applicant(s) seek to develop an additional 20-acres to allow up to 150 participants at one time. The expansion will include: construction of a storage bldg (3600 sq. ft.); two composting privies; a large group campsite; standard campsite, two covered picnic shelters; three yurt sites; parking area and a new road/path. The development will be on a 20-acre parcel (ID# 04-046-2-52-04-33-2-03-000-15000), described as the W ½ of the SW ¼ of the NW ¼, and a 20-acre parcel (ID# 04-46-2-52- 04-33-2-03-033-12500), described as the E ½ of the SW ¼ of the NW ¼, all in Section 33,Township 52 N, Range 4 West, Town of Russell, Bayfield County, WI. (* Note: parcels within one thousand (1,000) feet landward of the ordinary high water mark of navigable lakes, ponds or flowages or within three hundred (300) feet landward of the ordinary high water mark of navigable rivers or streams or to the landward side of the floodplain, whichever distance is greater is deemed a shoreland and/or wetland zone).
