PUBLIC HEARING
BAYFIELD COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE
JULY 17, 2014 AT 4:00 P.M.
BOARD ROOM, COUNTY COURTHOUSE
WASHBURN, WISCONSIN
The Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee of the County Board of
Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 4:00 P.M. in the
Board Room of the Bayfield County Courthouse in Washburn Wisconsin relative to the
following:
Jacob A. Obletz, owner and Jolee Walker, agent request a conditional use permit to
place a second residence on a parcel that will not be subdivided. His property is a 40–
acre parcel (Tax ID# 21408) described as SW ¼ of the NW ¼, Section 26, Township 46
North, Range 5 West, Town of Kelly, Bayfield County, WI.
Town of Bayfield, owner and Brian Matthys, agent request a conditional use permit
to construct and operate a bulk-storage tank on the 1.79–acre parcel (Pin #04-006-2-50-
04-01-1-04-000-30000) described as Lot 1 of CSM 1878, Section 1, Township 50 North,
Range 4 West, Town of Bayfield , Bayfield County, WI.
A petition by Robert Schierman, Director of Planning and Zoning, on behalf of the
Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee, requesting amendments to the
Bayfield County Zoning Ordinance including the following:
1. To create Section 13-1-107 to adopt the Wisconsin Uniform Dwelling Code
(UDC), create the position of Building Inspector, and set forth provisions for
building permits, fees and penalties related to the UDC.

All interested parties are invited to attend said hearing to be heard. Any person wishing
to attend who, because of a disability, requires special accommodations, should contact
the Planning and Zoning office at 373-6138, at least 24 hours before the scheduled
meeting time, so appropriate arrangements can be made. Immediately after the public
hearing, the Planning and Zoning Committee will hold its regular monthly meeting.
