BAYFIELD COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE
DECEMBER 17, 2015 AT 4:00P.M.
BOARD ROOM, COUNTY COURTHOUSE
WASHBURN, WISCONSIN
The Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee of the County Board of
Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. in
the Board Room of the Bayfield County Courthouse in Washburn Wisconsin relative to
the following:
A petition by Robert Schierman, Director of Planning and Zoning, on behalf of the
Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee, requesting amendments to the
Bayfield County Zoning Code of Ordinances, including the following:
1. Amendment of Section 13-1-21 to create a fee for a land use permit for a
boathouse and to create a fee schedule for a refiling or rehearing in front of
the Planning & Zoning Committee.
2. Amendment of Section 13-1-22(a)(4)b. to clarify that the total cumulative area
of all structures located shoreland setback shall not exceed 200 square feet,
as opposed to simply 200 feet, in order for a proposed structure to possibly be
exempted from terms of the shoreland ordinance.
3. Amendment of Section 13-1-22 to set forth requirements as to the location,
construction and use of boathouses.
4. Amendment of Section 13-1-62 to indicate that boathouses, in addition to all
current permitted uses, are a permitted use in A-1 and F-1 zoning districts and
trailheads are permitted with a Class B Special Use permit in W
(conservancy) districts.
5. Creation of Section 13-1-101A(c) to establish rules and procedures for
refilings and rehearings before the Bayfield County Planning and Zoning
Committee.
Copies of the petition and proposed amendments are available upon request
from the Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Office in Washburn, Wisconsin.
All interested parties are invited to attend said hearing to be heard. Any person wishing
to attend who, because of a disability, requires special accommodations, should contact
the Planning and Zoning office at 373-6138, at least 24 hours before the scheduled
