BAYFIELD COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE
AUGUST 18, 2016 AT 4:00 P.M.

The Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee of the County Board of Supervisors will
hold a public hearing on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. in the Board Room of the
Bayfield County Courthouse in Washburn Wisconsin relative to the following:
A petition by Robert Schierman, Director of Planning and Zoning, on behalf of the
Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee, requesting an amendment to the
Bayfield County Zoning Code of Ordinances, including the following:
1. Creation of Section 13-1-4(a)(24m) to define the term “Game Farm.”
Copies of the petition and proposed amendments are available upon request from the
Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Office in Washburn, Wisconsin.
Immediately following the public hearing, the Bayfield County Planning and Zoning
Committee may approve, modify and approve, or disapprove the proposed amendments and
formulate and adopt its recommendations to the Bayfield County Board of Supervisors with
respect thereto.
Mervyn & Sheila Bergman request a conditional use permit to allow multiple principal
structures on property that cannot be subdivided consisting of (2) structures (i.e. a residence
and an accessory structure with living quarters). Property is a 0.673-acre parcel (Tax ID#
28850), described as Lots 4-12, Block 4, Okerstrom Heydloff Addition to Port Wing in V. 1155 P.
677, Section 28, Township 50 North, Range 8 West, Town of Port Wing, Bayfield County, WI.
Robert & Amanda Vandoorn are petitioning for a zoning district map amendment. The parcel
is a 0.74-acre parcel (part of Tax ID #36770) described as part of the SE ¼ of the NE ¼, and the
NE ¼ of the NE ¼, in V. 941 P. 939-940, Section 36, Township 45 North, Range 9 West, Town
of Barnes, Bayfield County, WI from Residential-2 (R-2) to Residential-Recreational Business
(R-RB). Metes and bounds description(s) available in Planning and Zoning Department.
Northern Clearing Inc is petitioning for a zoning district map amendment located in a
shoreland/wetland zone. Property is a 34.98-acre parcel (Tax ID# 37391), described as Lot 1 of
CSM #1962 (located in SE NW; W ½ NE SW & E ½ NW SW) in Vol. 1162 P.389, Section 10,
Township 47 North, Range 5 West, Town of Eileen, Bayfield County, WI from Agricultural-1
(Ag-1) to Commercial (C). (* Note: parcels within one thousand (1,000) feet landward of the ordinary high water
mark of navigable lakes, ponds or flowages or within three hundred (300) feet landward of the ordinary high water
mark of navigable rivers or streams or to the landward side of the floodplain, whichever distance is greater is deemed
a shoreland and/or wetland zone). Metes and bounds description(s) available in Planning and Zoning Department.
