BOARD ROOM, COUNTY COURTHOUSE WASHBURN, WISCONSIN The Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee of the County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. in the Board Room of the Bayfield County Courthouse in Washburn Wisconsin relative to the following: Bayfield County, owner/Jason Bodine, agent and ABC Sportsman, Wanda Hyde, agent (F-2 Zone) request a conditional use permit (Rifle Range) to expand, construct and operate a trap shooting range for public use (no structures being requested). Property is two (2) parcels. Parcel #1 is a 40-acre parcel (Tax ID# 7612), described as the SW ¼ of the SE ¼ in V. 10 Tax Deed P. 326; and Parcel #2 is a 40-acre parcel (Tax ID# 7613), described as SE ¼ of the SE ¼ in V. 10 Tax Deed P. 326, both parcels are in Section 36, Township 50 North, Range 6 West, Town of Bell, Bayfield County, WI. James & Kimberly Wald request an after-the-fact conditional use permit for multiple principle structures (16 x 70 [1998] mobile home) and a (26 x 44 residence w/deck). Property is a 5.65–acre parcel (Tax ID# 9916) described as E 300’ of W630’ of S820” in the NE ¼ of the NE ¼, in Doc# 2010R-533746, in Section 35, Township 43 North, Range 8 West, Town of Cable, Bayfield County, WI. A petition by Robert Schierman, Director of Planning and Zoning, on behalf of the Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee, requesting amendments to the Bayfield County Zoning Code of Ordinances, including the following: 1. Amendment of Section 13-1-4 to correct typographical errors and to amend the definition of Zoning Department to reflect the new title of Zoning Agency. 2. Amendment of Section 13-1-20 to reinsert language of the United States Geological Survey Quadrangle Maps for Bayfield County. 3. Amendment of Section 13-1-21(b) to correct typographical errors and reflect the correct name of the Planning and Zoning Agency. 4. Amendment of Section 13-1-23(a)(1) to clarify that the allowable viewing corridor for each 100 feet of frontage may be only 35 feet wide. 6. Amendment of Section 13-1-26 to remove provisions pertaining to lots held in common ownership due to recent changes in state law. 7. Amendment of Section 13-1-31 to remove an internal reference to a section of the ordinance that does not now exist. 8. Amendment of Section 13-1-33 to change references to “principal buildings” to “multiple residences.” 9. Amendment of Section 13-1-40 to remove reference in subsection (3)(b) to a property owner complying with mitigation requirements, to remove a section regarding Impervious Surface Standards, which are located elsewhere in the Code of Ordinances, and to correct typographical errors. 10. Amendment of Section 13-1-41(b)(1a) to correct typographical errors. 11. Amendment of Section 13-1-60 to clarify that the Minimum Average Width requirements set forth in the table under subsection (a) pertain to all lots not just to non-shoreland lots. 12. Amendment of 13-1-61 to remove subsection (n)(b) labeled “Requirements” and pertaining to Multiple Unit Developments providing shoreline access. 13. Amendment of 13-1-62 to make Automobile and Truck sales, repair, parts, supplies and storage a special use in the F-1 zone and to make taxidermy a conditional use in the A-1 zone. 14. Amendment of 13-1-65 to remove all provisions contained in the Town of Barnes Overlay District and reserve for future use. 15. Amendment of 13-3-22 to correct typographical errors. 16. Amendment of 13-3-41 to the definition of Navigable Waters to cross-reference applicable Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code provisions and to amend the definition of Zoning Agency to clarify that any reference to Zoning Department in the Ordinance refers to the Agency. 17. Immediately following the public hearing, the Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee may approve, modify and approve, or disapprove the proposed amendments and formulate and adopt its recommendations to the Bayfield County Board of Supervisors with respect thereto. All interested parties are invited to attend said hearing to be heard.
