The Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee of the County Board of
Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. in the
Board Room of the Bayfield County Courthouse in Washburn Wisconsin relative to the
following:
Halvorson Properties, LLC, owner and Mark Halvorson, agent request a conditional
use permit per 13-1-62 (classification list) Fish or Meat (wholesale, storage, curing &
processing). Request is for a commercial building for purposes of processing fish,
smoking, curing, cold storage of fish and a retail store. Property is zoned commercial
and is a 0.24–acre parcel (Tax ID# 8140) described as Lots 7 through 9, inclusive, Block
5, Map of Cornucopia in V. 1140 P. 1000, in Section 34, Township 51 North, Range 6
West, Town of Bell, Bayfield County, WI.
Jonathan Sherwood & Gina Monroe is petitioning for a zoning district map
amendment. The parcel is a 35.70-acre parcel (Tax ID #36076) described as NW SW
less V. 157 P.444; V. 354 P. 239; V. 646 P. 231 & parcel described in V. 1159 P. 7
Section 15, Township 50 North, Range 4 West, Town of Bayfield, Bayfield County, WI
from Ag-1 to R-RB.
All interested parties are invited to attend said hearing to be heard. Any person wishing
to attend who, because of a disability, requires special accommodations, should contact
the Planning and Zoning office at 373-6138, at least 24 hours before the scheduled
meeting time, so appropriate arrangements can be made. Immediately after the public
hearing, the Planning and Zoning Committee will hold its regular monthly meeting.

and out of Executive Session pursuant to:
§19.85(1)(g) Conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering
oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to
litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved.
