BOARD ROOM, COUNTY COURTHOUSE WASHBURN, WISCONSIN The Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee of the County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. in the Board Room of the Bayfield County Courthouse in Washburn Wisconsin relative to the following: Jayson & Katherine Nohl are requesting a conditional use permit to replace an existing structure with a new structure (24’ x 26’=624 sq. ft.) in their multiple unit development of 5 units plus residence. Property is located in a shoreland with wetlands present and zoned R-RB. A 3.34-acre parcel (Tax ID # 37285) described as Lots 1, 2 & 3, Plat of Mission Springs in V. 1145 P. 447, Section 25, Township 48N, Range 5 W, Town of Barksdale. Included in this request is the EIA, which will be addressed separately. Grace Heitsch is requesting an after-the-fact conditional use permit to construct a private cemetery (40’ x 40’) for family burial plot. Property is zoned Ag-1. A 20-acre parcel (Tax ID# 180) located in the W ½ of the SW ¼ of the SE ¼, Section 14, Township 48N, Range 5 W, Town of Barksdale. Mogasheen Properties LLC, owner and Michael Furtak, agent are requesting a conditional use permit to expand the existing multiple unit development from 12 units to 13 units. Converting an existing 2-story garage (40’ x 26’) into an apartment with attached garage (40’ x 26’=1,040 sq. ft.). Property is located in a shoreland with wetlands present and zoned R-1 and R-RB. A 12.00–acre parcel (Tax ID# 17015) described as E 20 RODS of Gov’t Lot 7 in V. 1113 P. 59, Section 34, Township 44 North, Range 6 West, Town of Grand View, Bayfield County, WI. Included in this request is the EIA, which will be addressed separately. Petition(s) by Robert Schierman, Director of Planning and Zoning, on behalf of the Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee, requesting amendments to the Bayfield County Zoning Code of Ordinances, include the following: Requesting an amendment to the Bayfield County Zoning Ordinance to amend section 13-1-3 of the ordinance to add that one purpose of Chapter 1 of the Code of Ordinances is to prevent risks to public safety and damage to buildings and infrastructure on or near steep slopes; to amend section 13-1-4 to identify and define terms including bluff line, erosion, sloughing, slumping, steep slope, and toe of slope; to amend Section 13-1-20 to adopt Bayfield County LIDAR map showing steep slopes and to specify that all required state and federal permits must be filed prior to permitted land use activity commencing; to amend Section 13-1-22 to add requirements for steep slope setbacks. k/debsdata/zc/phnotice/2018/#6June21 Proofed by:_____ Prepared by: dak (5/23/18-11:41am); (5/24/18-7:49am) Zoning Committee Requesting an amendment to the Bayfield County Zoning Ordinance to amend section 13-1-21 of the ordinance to clarify that a permit otherwise required under Chapter 1 of the code of ordinances may not be required in certain circumstances when the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has concurrent jurisdiction.
