The Bayfield County Planning and Zoning Committee of the County Board of Supervisors will hold a
public hearing on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. in the Board Room of the Bayfield County
Courthouse in Washburn Wisconsin relative to the following:
Donalee & Ardath Kennedy, owners and Jenna Galegher, agent request a conditional use for an
{after-the-fact} conditional use for multiple residences on a parcel that cannot be subdivided; consisting
of; {1-story} residence (24 x 40 = 960 sq. ft) with deck (6 x 40) and a {2-story} residence (27 x 54 = 1800
sq. ft). Property is R-RB (in a shoreland zone). Property is a 2.24-acre parcel (Tax ID# 5034) in V. 639,
P.151, described as Lot 1 of CSM #870 (Doc # 418097), Section 27, Township 50, Range 4 W, Town of
Bayfield, Bayfield County, WI.
also, with this conditional use is a request for Short-Term Rental Accommodations (2-4 Units); consisting
of (2) structures: {1-story} residence (24 x 40 = 960 sq. ft) with deck (6 x 40 = 240 sq. ft) and a {2-story}
residence (27 x 54 = 1800 sq. ft). Property is R-RB (in a shoreland zone).
Joseph & Laurie Merz is petitioning for a zoning district map amendment located (in a shoreland
w/wetlands present). Property is a 1.99-acre parcel (Tax ID #7229) described as a parcel located in the
NE ¼ of the NE ¼, in Doc# 2018R-575559, Section 4, Township 50 North, Range 6 West, Town of Bell,
Bayfield County, WI from Ag-1 to R-1. (* Note: parcels within one thousand (1,000) feet landward of the ordinary high-
water mark of navigable lakes, ponds or flowages or within three hundred (300) feet landward of the ordinary high-water mark of
navigable rivers or streams or to the landward side of the floodplain, whichever distance is greater is deemed a shoreland and/or
wetland zone). Metes and bounds & easement description(s) available in Planning and Zoning Department.
Brian D Kenny request a conditional use permit for Multiple Structures on a parcel that cannot be
subdivided (in a shoreland zone w/wetlands); consisting of: current 1 ½-story residence (25 x 30 = 750 sq.
ft.; and a new 1-story residence w/porch & deck (50’ x 28’ = 1,400 sq. ft.); porch (4 x 8 = 32 sq. ft); deck
(10’ x 28’ = 280 sq. ft). Property is an R-1 zoning district; a 4.25–acre parcel (Tax ID# 18514), described
as a parcel located in Gov’t Lot 4, Doc# 2019R-577440, in Section 15, Township 47 North, Range 9 West,
Town of Hughes, Bayfield County, WI.
